STRS Payroll - File Layout and Data Mapping | PowerSchool ERP Compliance

The default file name for the STRS Payroll report is <Employer STRS Number><MMDD>.txt
where
the Employer STRS Number is retrieved from the Employer STRS Number field on the Human Resources Profile - State page.
MMDD represents the Pay Date selected on the OH STRS Payroll - Report page.

The STRS Payroll report electronic file contains three record types:

RH - Header Record

The following table lists the position, field, description, data type, and location or valid RH - Header record value.

49-52	Payroll Type	The payroll data type.	Character	Retrieved from the Payroll Type field on the OH STRS Payroll - Report page. Valid values: REG REPL CORR
53-56	Payment Method	The method of payment.	Character	Retrieved from the Payment Method field on the OH STRS Payroll - Report page. Valid values: CHK EFT
57-67	Payment Reference Number	The payment reference number.	Numeric	Retrieved from the Payment Reference Number field on the OH STRS Payroll - Report page.
68-80	Payment Amount	The payment amount.	Numeric	Retrieved from the Payment Amount field on the OH STRS Payroll - Report page.
81-120	Employer Reference	The employer reference.	Alphanumeric	Retrieved from the Employer Reference field on the OH STRS Payroll - Report page.
121-160	Blank filler	Not applicable	Not applicable	spaces
161-190	Report Date	The report creation timestamp.	DateTime	Not applicable

Employee Record

The following table lists the position, field, description, data type, and location or valid Employee record value.

9-18	Pay Date	The date the employee was paid.	Date	Retrieved from the Pay Date field of the OH STRS Payroll Data page accessed from the OH STRS Payroll page. The format is MM/DD/CCYY.

23-31	Social Security Number	The employee’s Social Security number.	Numeric	Retrieved from the Social Security field of the OH STRS Payroll Data page accessed from the OH STRS Payroll page.
32-56	Last Name	The employee’s last name.	Character	Retrieved from the Last Name field of the OH STRS Payroll Data page accessed from the OH STRS Payroll page.
57-78	First Name	The employee’s first name.	Character	Retrieved from the First Name field of the OH STRS Payroll Data page accessed from the OH STRS Payroll page.
79-91	Member Pre-tax Contribution	The amount of the employee's contribution calculated depending on the plan type.	Numeric	Retrieved from the Pre-tax Contribution field of the OH STRS Payroll Data page accessed from the OH STRS Payroll page.
92-103	Member After-tax Contribution	The amount of the employer contribution or pickup.	Numeric	Retrieved from the Post-tax Contribution field of the OH STRS Payroll Data page accessed from the OH STRS Payroll page.
104-135	Notes	Notes or comments related to the transaction.	Alphanumeric	Retrieved from the Notes field of the OH STRS Payroll Data page accessed from the OH STRS Payroll page.
136	Accrued Indicator	Identifies whether the contributions are accrued.	Character	Retrieved from the Accrued field of the Retirement Deductions page accessed from the OH Retirement System Deductions page.
