Use the EMIS Employee Positions Report page to generate a report of employee EMIS position assignments based on selected filter criteria.

From the EMIS menu, select EMIS Employee Positions Report.

Select PDF or Excel.

If you have the security permission to view the entire Social Security Number (without masking) and want to include it, select Print Full Social Security Number.

Refer to the Field descriptions and enter the Report Criteria.

To include all employees in the report, leave the fields blank.

Select Advanced to select, add, update, or delete advanced search queries. For more information on advanced search queries, refer to Advanced Search.

Select Create, and then Yes.

Save the file and select OK.

Navigate to the folder containing the report file.

Inspect the file. Update data if needed.

Repeat these steps until all the required data is included.
The default file names are:

PDF: EMIS Employee Positions Report_<MMDDYYYY>_<hhmmss>.pdf

Excel: EMIS Employee Positions Report_<MMDDYYYY>_<hhmmss>.csv

Field descriptions
The following table describes the fields on the EMIS Employee Positions Report page.

Employee Number |
The employee’s identification (ID) number. Select the Lookup icon to search for and select an employee number. To include multiple employees, use the pipe symbol between each employee number (0000000|1111111|2222222). |

EMIS Employee ID |
The Ohio State Staff ID (Credential ID) assigned to the employee by the state. Used to filter the report by the state-issued identifier rather than the district's internal employee number. To include multiple employees, use the pipe symbol between each employee ID (0000000|1111111|2222222). |

Position Location |
The local building/location code for the employee's position. Used to filter the report to show positions at a specific building or facility. The values in the drop-down list are retrieved from the Location Table page. |

EMIS Position |
The three-character EMIS Position Assignment Code that identifies the type of work or role (e.g., teacher, aide, administrator). Select the Lookup icon to search for an EMIS position code. |

Position Type |
Indicates the nature of the position assignment. Valid values:

Assignment Area |
The EMIS Assignment Area code that further classifies the employee's teaching or service area. Typically used for instructional positions to identify subject areas. The values in the drop-down list are retrieved from the Assignment Codes page. |

Position Status |
Indicates the current status of the position assignment. Valid values:

EMIS Fund |
The EMIS funding source code indicating how the position is funded. Valid values:

Type of Appointment |
Indicates the employee's appointment classification. Valid values:
