Quarterly Unemployment Report - File Layout and Data Mapping

The default file name for the Quarterly Unemployment report is UI<Reporting Year><Reporting Quarter><MDE District Number>.txt.

1-8	Employer Account Number	The Unemployment Insurance (UI) account number assigned to the employer by the state.	For employees eligible for unemployment insurance, the value is retrieved from the UI Employer Account Number - Non-Exempt field on the Human Resources Profile - State page. For employees exempted from unemployment insurance, the value is retrieved from the UI Employer Account Number - Exempt field on the Human Resources Profile - State page.
9-12	Employer Unit Location Number	The number assigned by the state to distinguish between records with the same UI account number.	Retrieved from the UI Employer Unit Location Number field on the MN Quarterly Unemployment Table Information form of the MN Quarterly Unemployment Report page.
13-17	Reporting Period	The four-digit calendar year followed by the single-digit quarter.	Retrieved from the Reporting Year and Reporting Quarter fields on the MN Quarterly Unemployment Table Information form of the MN Quarterly Unemployment Report page.
18	Month 1 Employment	Indicates whether the employee worked during or received pay for the pay period including the 12th day of the 1st month of the reporting period. Valid values: 1 = Employee worked during or received pay for the pay period, including the 12th day of the 1st month of the reporting period. 0 = Employee did not work and received no pay for the period, including the 12th day of the 1st month of the reporting period.
19	Month 2 Employment	Indicates whether the employee worked during or received pay for the pay period including the 12th day of the 2nd month of the reporting period.
