Import

Use the MN UFARS Report - Chapter X Validation - Import page to upload Chapter X validation grids from an external file into the system, rather than manually entering each validation rule.

1. On the MN UFARS Report page, select UFARS Accounts, and then Chapter X Grid. 

2. Select Import.

3. Select Restricted Grid to import validation rules for Restricted fund activities.

4. Select Unrestricted Grid to import validation rules for Unrestricted fund activities.

5. Select the Field Delimiter and the Year.

6. If you select Work Station, select Choose File and navigate to the file's location.

   1. Select the file and then select Open.

   2. Select Upload.

   3. If data for the selected year is loaded, select Yes to replace the data.

   4. Save the Load Summary report file and select OK.

7. If you select Server, enter the Server File Name, and click Upload.

   1. If data for the selected year is loaded, select Yes to replace the data.

   2. Save the Load Summary report file and select OK.

8. If errors are found, review the error report, make the necessary corrections, and then repeat this procedure.
