PERA Exclusion Report - Load Data

Use the MN PERA Exclusion Report - Load page to extract and process employee data for PERA (Public Employees Retirement Association) exclusion reporting. This page allows users to initiate the data extraction process, which identifies employees who were paid during the fiscal year but did not have PERA retirement deductions withheld, calculates their annual and last paid salaries, and stores the extracted data for report generation.

  1. On the MN PERA Exclusion Report page, select Load.

  2. Refer to the Field descriptions and enter or select the required load criteria.

  3. Select Load, and then Yes.

  4. If data for the selected criteria is loaded, select Yes to delete and reload the data.

  5. Save the Load Summary report file and select OK.

  6. Navigate to the file location.

  7. Inspect the file. Refer to Maintain data and update the data if needed.

  8. Repeat these steps until all required data is loaded.

Field

Description

Exclusion Year

The fiscal year for which employee exclusion data is being reported to PERA.

Fiscal Start Date

The beginning date of the fiscal year reporting period.

Only employees with checks issued on or after this date are considered for selection.

The system uses this date to filter check history records when identifying employees without PERA deductions and when calculating annual salary.

Fiscal End Date

The ending date of the fiscal year reporting period.

Only employees with checks issued on or before this date are considered for selection.

The system uses this date to filter check history records and to identify the employee's most recent check for PERA deduction verification.
