Configure Titles

Use the Titles tab on the Fund Accounting Profile page to define the labels (titles) for each segment of the Full Account Structure (FAS) so that the same names are used consistently across Fund Accounting.

Those values are the labels only. They don’t define valid codes or data; they control the names of fields on pages (e.g., Organization Chart, Account Components, transaction entry) and in reports. The actual segment codes and budget units are defined on the Account Components and Organization Chart pages.

From the System Administration menu, select Administration. From the Profiles menu, select Fund Accounting Profile. Select the Titles tab.

Procedure

  1. On the Titles tab, enter or confirm the following:

    • Fund Title (e.g., Fund)

    • Orgn Level 1 (e.g., Function)

    • Orgn Level 2 (e.g., Object)

    • Orgn Level 3 (e.g., Location)

    • Orgn Level 4 (e.g., Program)

    • Orgn Level 5 (e.g., Project)

    • Orgn Level 6 through Orgn Level 9 (only if you use them)

    • Low Orgn (e.g., Budget Unit)

    • Full Account and Encumb (if applicable)
      Any levels you do not use must be left blank.

  2. Select Accept.

All FAS pages and reports will display these labels for each level.
