Ohio - State Compliance Reporting
PowerSchool ERP provides comprehensive state compliance reporting capabilities for Ohio school districts. The Ohio state compliance module integrates with Human Resources Management (HRM), Payroll, and Financial Accounting Management (FAM) to automate the preparation, validation, and submission of required reports to state agencies, including the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW), State Teachers Retirement System (STRS), and School Employees Retirement System (SERS).
Ohio State compliance reporting consists of the following features and modules:
Fund Accounting reports
Use the Fund Accounting > State > State - OH menu to generate Ohio state compliance reports for financial accounting and fiscal management. This menu provides access to reports required by Ohio state agencies, including the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) and the Ohio Auditor of State, for fiscal accountability, budget monitoring, and state funding reconciliation.

From the Fund Accounting menu, select State. From the State - OH menu, select an option.

Human Resources - Periodic Routines
Use the Periodic Routines menu to run recurring payroll and personnel maintenance tasks on a regular schedule, such as processing periodic updates and completing year-end procedures.

Civil Rights Data Collection
Use the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) option to report CRDC data required by the Federal government.

W2 Processing
Use the W2 Processing option to create an Ohio-specific electronic submission file for W2 records.

W2C Processing
Use the W2C Processing option to create an Ohio-specific electronic submission file for W2C records.

EMIS reports
Use the EMIS menu to prepare, maintain, and submit data to Ohio's Education Management Information System (EMIS). EMIS is Ohio's statewide data collection system for reporting educational data to the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW). This menu provides tools for managing staff records, financial data, and reference tables required for EMIS compliance.

Ohio Local Taxes
In Ohio, employees are often subject to multiple local income taxes based on where they live and work. PowerSchool ERP provides comprehensive support for managing these complex requirements, allowing employees to have multiple active local tax records.
