Use the EMIS Staff Vacancy Report page to add, update, and delete Ohio EMIS Staff Vacancy data for your district.
You can correct the imported data on the Staff Vacancy Information form of the EMIS Staff Vacancy Report page.

On the EMIS Staff Vacancy Report page, filter records using the filter criteria. To enter filter criteria:

Select an option in the first field.

Select or enter a value.

Select Add if the button is enabled.
Refer to Search for records for more information.-
To add a record, select Add Record. Refer to the Field descriptions and enter valid information in the required fields. Select Save, and then Yes.

To edit a record, select the ellipsis in the Actions column and then select Edit. Update the information and select Save.

To delete a record, select the ellipsis in the Actions column, select Delete, and then select Yes.

To download the information, select Download, then select Download PDF or Download as an Excel Document. The default file names are:

Position Code |
The EMIS-defined code for the type of position that became vacant. This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record. |

Subject Area |
The EMIS subject area code associated with the vacant position. Required for instructional positions. This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record. |

Vacancy Reason |
The EMIS-defined code indicating the reason the position became vacant (e.g., retirement or resignation). |

The EMIS-defined code indicating how the vacancy was filled (for example, new hire or transfer). |

Former Staff ID |
The ODE-assigned EMIS staff ID of the employee who previously held the position. This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record. |

The employee number for the former staff member. This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record. |

The lowest grade level served by the vacant position, using EMIS-defined grade level codes. |
