Calculated during the data load process. The field value is retrieved from the Middle Name field on the Employee Information page. |
Location |
The employee's work location code for retirement reporting purposes.
Calculated during the data load process. The calculated value is derived from the Employee Location Code or Teacher Location Code fields on the Human Resources Profile - State page (based on the employer number and system code), combined with the Check Location field on the Payroll tab of the Employee Information page. The location format varies based on site type and retirement system code. |
Transaction Code |
The type of transaction being reported to the Maryland State Retirement Systems.
Calculated during the data load process. The valid value, 405, is hardcoded and represents a regular payroll contribution transaction. |
System Code |
The Maryland State Retirement System in which the employee participates. |
Valid values:
Populated during the data load process. The field value is retrieved from the System Code field on the Retirement Deductions form of the MD Retirement Systems Report - Deductions page. |
Base Salary Paid |
The employee's base salary for the current pay period. |
Populated during the data load process. The field value is retrieved from the Amount field for the pay period on the Check History page. For Talbot County summer months (July/August), the value may be derived from the pay rate if the base salary is zero. |
Employee Contribution |
The amount of retirement contributions withheld from the employee's wages for the pay period.
Calculated during the data load process. The calculated value represents the employer contribution amount (fringe) if the deduction is configured as a Board Paid Benefit on the Retirement Deductions form of the MD Retirement Systems Report - Deductions page, or the employee contribution amount (taken) if it is an employee-paid deduction, retrieved from check history detail records. |
Actual Annual Salary |
The employee's total annual salary amount used for retirement benefit calculations.
Calculated during the data load process. The calculated value represents the sum of annual salaries from the Pay Rate Information page for pay codes not exempt from the retirement deduction. If the Annual Salary field on the Payroll Information - State Required page contains a numeric value, that value overrides the calculated annual salary. |
Hours Worked |
The total hours the employee worked during the pay period for service credit calculations.
Calculated during the data load process. The calculated value represents the sum of hours from check history detail records for pay codes not exempt from the retirement deduction. Hours from FLSA premium records are excluded. The value is capped at the value in the Standard Worked field. If the Hours Worked field on the Payroll Information - State Required page contains a value, it overrides the calculated hours. |
Standard Worked |
The standard number of hours expected for a full-time position during the pay period.
Populated during the data load process. The field value is retrieved from the Standard Hours field on the Payroll Information - State Required page. |

Populated during the data load process. The field value is retrieved from the Plan Code field on the Retirement Deductions form of the MD Retirement Systems Report - Deductions page. |
Percent Time |
The employee's work schedule as a percentage of full-time employment.
The valid values are 0-99. Calculated during the data load process. The calculated value is the FTE field value on the Pay Rate Information page multiplied by 100. If the FTE equals 1 (full-time), the percent time is set to 0 (indicating full-time status). |
Annual Earnable Salary |
The employee's projected annual compensation based on their current rate of pay and percent time, used for part-time employee retirement calculations.
Calculated during the data load process. The calculated value represents the Actual Annual Salary divided by Percent Time when the employee is part-time. For full-time employees (Percent Time = 0), the value equals the Actual Annual Salary. |
