MD Retirement Systems Report - Create File

Use the MD Retirement Systems Report - Reports page to generate hard copy reports and electronic files for the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System reporting. This page allows users to produce printable verification reports sorted by name or system code, as well as magnetic media files formatted for submission to the state retirement system.

  1. On the MD Retirement Systems Report page, select Reports.

  2. Select the Payroll End Date. This is the ending date of the current payroll period being reported to the Maryland retirement systems.

  3. Create a hard copy of the report to verify data before you create the electronic file:

    1. Select Hard Copy.

    2. Select PDF or Excel.

    3. Select Sort by Name or Sort by System Code.

    4. If you have the security permission to view the entire Social Security Number (without masking) and want to include it, select Print Full Social Security Number.
      The required access privileges are granted by assigning the appropriate security resource.

    5. Select Create, and then Yes.

  4. Save the file and select OK.

  5. Navigate to the folder containing the report file.

  6. Inspect the file. Refer to Maintain data and update it if necessary.

  7. Repeat these steps until all the required data is included.

  8. Create the magnetic media file:

    1. Select Electronic File.

    2. Select Create, and then Yes.

    3. Save the file and select OK.

The default file name is mdret1tp.tpe.
