Setup - Percent Increase Method - Update Future Pay Rates

Use the Update Future Pay Rates page to perform mass updates and salary calculations on future pay rate records, allowing districts to efficiently apply scheduled increases and step advancements, and recalculate salaries for multiple employees at once.

Menu path

From the Human Resources menu, select Periodic Routines. From the Future Pay Rates menu, select Update Future Pay Rates.

  1. Refer to the Update Future Pay Rates page and enter or select the update criteria.

  2. Before proceeding, select Calculate Min/Mid/Max Salaries.

  3. Refer to the Field descriptions and select the additional update criteria.

  4. Select Accept, then Yes.

  5. Select a Destination for the report file:

    • Select File to create the report in .rpt format. The default file name is updateFuturePay.rpt. You can change the default file name.

    • Select Screen to download the report in .pdf format. The default file name is updateFuturePay.pdf.

    • Select Excel to download the report in .xlsx format. Select the required Excel Options. The default file name is updateFuturePay.xlsx.

      • Select OK.

        • Download the .rpt file from the View Files page.

        • Save the .pdf or .xlsx file.

Field descriptions

The following table describes the additional fields displayed on the Update Future Pay Rates page when Calculate Min/Mid/Max Salaries is selected.

Description

Pay Family

Select a pay family code to limit the Min/Mid/Max salary calculation to employees assigned to that specific pay family.

Pay families group jobs with similar compensation structures.

Leave this field blank to include all pay families.

Pay Grade

Select a pay grade code to limit the Min/Mid/Max salary calculation to employees assigned to that specific pay grade within the selected pay family.

Pay grades represent levels within a pay family with defined Min/Mid/Max salary ranges.

Leave this field blank to include all pay grades.

Example Usage

The following table provides examples of how to use the Pay Family and Pay Grade fields on the Update Future Pay Rates page when Calculate Min/Mid/Max Salaries is selected.
