Update Future Pay Rates Report - File Layout and Data Mapping

The default file names for the Update Future Pay Rates report are:

Excel: updateFuturePay.xlsx

The following table shows the columns, column names, descriptions, and data sources or valid values for the .xlsx file format of the Update Future Pay Rates report.

A	JOB CLASS	The job class code and title.	Retrieved from the Job Class field on the Future Pay Rate Information page (combines the Class Code and Title from the Job Class page).
B	EMPLOYEE NUMBER	The employee’s identification (ID) number.	Retrieved from the Employee Number field on the Future Pay Rates page.
C	EMPLOYEE NAME	The employee’s name.	Retrieved from the Last Name and First Name fields on the Employee Information page.
D	EFFECTIVE DATE	The effective date of the pay rate.	Retrieved from the Effective Date field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
E	PRIMARY	Indicates if the pay rate is Primary or Secondary.	Retrieved from the Primary field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
F	PAY CODE	The pay code and description.	Retrieved from the Pay Code field on the Future Pay Rate Information page (includes the Title from the Pay Codes page).
G	PAY GROUP	The pay group code and description.	Retrieved from the Pay Group field on the Future Pay Rate Information page (includes the Pay Group Title from the Pay Groups page).
H	STATUS	The employee’s status with a description.	Valid values: A = Active I = Inactive T = Terminated Retrieved from the Status field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
I	CALENDAR	The calendar type and description.	Retrieved from the Calendar field on the Future Pay Rate Information page (includes the Description from the Calendars page).
J	START DATE	The contract start date.	Retrieved from the Start Date field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
K	END DATE	The contract end date.	Retrieved from the End Date field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
L	PAY START DATE	The pay period start date.	Retrieved from the Pay Start Date field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
M	PAY END DATE	The pay period end date.	Retrieved from the Pay End Date field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
N	DAYS/YR	The days worked per year.	Retrieved from the Days Worked field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
O	PAY METHOD	The pay method with description.	Valid values: D = Daily H = Hourly P = Pay Period R = Range/Step Pay S = Range/Step Rate Retrieved from the Pay Method field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
P	SCHEDULE	The salary schedule code and description	Retrieved from the Schedule field on the Future Pay Rate Information page (includes the Description from the Salary Schedules page).
Q	RANGE	The pay range code and description (for Range/Step pay methods).	Retrieved from the Range field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
R	STEP	The step value (for Range/Step pay methods).	Retrieved from the Step field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
S	HRS/DAY	The hours worked per day.	Retrieved from the Hours/Day field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
T	PAYS	The number of pays per year.	Retrieved from the Pays/Year field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
U	FTE	The full-time equivalent percentage.	Retrieved from the FTE field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
V	OVERRIDE TYPE	The override status.	Valid values: Override Rate Override to System System Calculate Retrieved from the Override field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
W	CONTRACT DAYS	The contract days.	Retrieved from the Contract Days field on the Future Pay Rate Information page.
X	FORMER RATE	The former/original pay rate.	Retrieved from the Pay Rate field on the Future Pay Rate Information page (the original value before the update).
Y	FORMER SALARY	The former/original annual salary.	Retrieved from the Annual Salary field on the Future Pay Rate Information page (the original value before the update).
Z	UPDATED RATE	The new/updated pay rate.	Retrieved from a calculated value during the Update Future Pay Rates process. The system automatically calculates the new rate based on the selected processing options.
AA	UPDATED SALARY	The new/updated annual salary.	Retrieved from a calculated value during the Update Future Pay Rates process. The system automatically calculates the new salary based on the selected processing options.
AB	MESSAGE	Error or note message (prefixed with ERROR or NOTE if applicable. The Excel report contains more detailed information than the PDF/printed report version. Fields such as Pay Code, Pay Group, Calendar, Schedule, and Range include both the code and the description for clarity. The MESSAGE column will display processing errors or notes such as "CONTRACT LIMIT ADJUSTED BY DOCKING."	Retrieved from a calculated value during the Update Future Pay Rates process. The system automatically generates error or note messages based on processing results.
