Setup - Percent Increase Method - Min/Mid/Max Profile

Use the Min/Mid/Max Profile page to configure the global settings that control how salary increases are calculated for employees within a pay family/grade structure.

Menu path

From the Personnel Budgeting menu, select Custom. From the Custom menu, select Min/Mid/Max Pay Family/Grade Information. On the Min/Mid/Max Pay Family/Grade Information page, select Profile.

  1. On the Min/Mid/Max Profile page, select Percent Increase.

  2. Select Accept.

  3. Refer to the Field descriptions and enter the Percent increase values in the Midpoint and Maximum fields.

Field descriptions

The following table describes the Midpoint and Maximum fields on the Min/Mid/Max Profile page.

Field

Description

Midpoint

The percentage used to calculate salary increases using the midpoint method.

The system calculates the midpoint salary increase by multiplying this percentage by the midpoint salary from the pay category/grade table.

Enter as a decimal value (e.g., 5% = 0.0500).

Maximum

The percentage used to calculate salary increases using the maximum method.

The system calculates the maximum salary increase by multiplying this percentage by the maximum salary from the pay category/grade table.

Enter as a decimal value (e.g., 2% = 0.0200).
