Future Job Classes
23.10 and later
Use the Future Job Classes page to add, update, delete, search, and print future job class records. This page allows users to create and manage job class configurations that take effect on a future date, enabling districts to plan and prepare salary schedules, deductions, leave codes, and other job class settings in advance of their activation.
When the Future Job Classes are posted, the Job Class Table page is updated. You can modify or delete the records before posting.
On the start page, select Human Resources.
Select Reference Tables.
From the Future Changes menu, select Future Changes Job Classes Manual Menu.
Enter the Search Criteria to find the required job class records, and then select Search.
Refer to Search for records for more information.To add a record, select Add new. Refer to the Field descriptions, enter valid information, and select Accept.
To edit a record, select the record and select Accept. Update the information and select Accept.
To delete, select the record and select Delete. Select Yes.
You cannot delete a future job class if it is associated with a pay rate.To generate a report, select Print, and then select a Destination:
Select File to create the report in .rpt format. The default file name is future_clstable.rpt. You can change the default file name.
Select Screen to download the report in .pdf format. The default file name is future_clstable.pdf.
Select Excel to download the report in .xlsx format. Select the required Excel Options. The default file name is future_clstable.xlsx.
Select OK.
Download the .rpt file from the View Files page.
Save the .pdf or .xls file.

General tab
The following table describes the Ohio-specific fields on the General tab of the Future Job Classes page.

SERS Job Class | The SERS (School Employees Retirement System) job classification code for non-certified staff. Used for SERS retirement reporting. Valid values:

FTE Hours per Day | The standard Full-Time Equivalent hours per day for this job class. Enter the number of hours that constitute a full-time work day for positions in this job class (e.g., 8.00 for an 8-hour work day). Used in Ohio retirement calculations to determine the FTE percentage and retirement service credit. |

SERS Hours/Day | The number of hours per day to be reported to SERS (School Employees Retirement System) for retirement contribution calculations. Enter the daily hours that should be reported to SERS for retirement credit purposes. This value is used during payroll processing to calculate SERS retirement service days and hours for employees in this job class. |
