NE NSSRS Report - Create File - Comparison Reports

Use the NE NSSRS Report - Comparison Reports page to generate a report detailing the differences in demographic or assignment information between two NSSRS (Nebraska Student and Staff Record System) report dates.

  1. On the NE NSSRS Report page, select Comparison Reports.

  2. Refer to the Field descriptions and enter or select the required report criteria.

  3. Select Accept.

  4. If you want to include the entire Social Security Number, select Yes.

  5. In the Print dialog, select a Destination:

    1. Select File to create the report in .rpt format. The default file names are:

      • Demographics report: nssrsDemoCmp.rpt

      • Assignments report: nssrsAssignCmp.rpt
        You can change the default file name.

    2. Select Screen to download the report in .pdf format. The default file names are:

      • Demographics report: nssrsDemoCmp_<#####>.pdf.

      • Assignments report: nssrsAssignCmp_<#####>.pdf

    3. Select Excel to download the report in .xlsx format. Select the required Excel Options. The default file names are:

      • Demographics report: nssrsDemoCmprpt<####_#####>.xlsx.

      • Assignments report: nssrsAssignCmprpt<####_#####>.xlsx

        • Select OK.

          • Download the .rpt file from the View Files page.

          • Save the .pdf or .xlsx file.

  6. Navigate to the folder containing the report file.

  7. Inspect the file.

Field descriptions

Field

Description

Demographics

Select this option to compare staff demographic information (name, SSN, gender, ethnicity, race, education, salary, etc.) between two report dates.

Assignments

Select this option to compare staff position assignment information (school, district, assignment codes, FTE, subject, etc.) between two report dates.

Current Report Date

The more recent NSSRS report date to be used as the basis for comparison.

Prior Report Date

The earlier NSSRS report date to compare against the current report date.
