OASIS Report - Setup - Retirement Deductions

Use the MO Retirement Deductions page to define and maintain the association between payroll deduction codes and Missouri retirement system types. This page allows users to map deduction codes to specific EMERS (Education Employees' Missouri Retirement System) retirement categories for accurate state retirement reporting.

Perform the following setup procedure before creating the OASIS report.

  1. On the MO OASIS Report page, select Retirement Deductions.

  2. On the MO Retirement Deductions page, filter records using the filter criteria. To enter filter criteria:

    1. Select an option in the first field.

    2. Select or enter a value.

    3. Select Add if the button is enabled.
      Refer to Search for records for more information.

      • To add a record, select Add Record. Refer to the Field descriptions and enter valid information in the required fields. Select Save, and then Yes.

      • To edit a record, select the ellipsis in the Actions column and then select Edit. Update the information and select Save.

      • To delete a record, select the ellipsis in the Actions column, select Delete, and then select Yes.

      • To download the information, select Download, then select Download PDF or Download as an Excel Document. The default file names are:

        • Excel: MO OASIS Retirement Deductions_<MMDDYYYY_hhmmss>.csv

        • PDF: MO OASIS Retirement Deductions_<MMDDYYYY_hhmmss>.pdf

Field descriptions

The following table describes the fields on the Detail Information form of the MO Retirement Deductions page.

Field

Description

Deduction Code

The payroll deduction code associated with the Missouri retirement system contributions. The deduction code links payroll deductions to the appropriate retirement system (PSRS or PEERS) for OASIS reporting purposes.

Only deduction codes set up for retirement purposes should be selected.

Select Lookup to search for and select a retirement deduction code.

The records on the Deduction Code Search Tool page are retrieved from the Deduction Table page.

This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record.

Retirement System

The Missouri retirement system to which the deduction applies.

Valid values:

  • P - PSRS (Public School Retirement System)

  • C - PSRS Critical Shortage

  • S - PSRS Social Security Required

  • N - PEERS (Formerly NTRS) (Public Education Employee Retirement System)

  • W - PEERS Critical Shortage

  • R - Retired working member

  • O - Non-Member PSRS as Non-Certificated

  • T - Non-Member Substitute Teaching WAR Waiver

  • X - Non-member

This classification determines how the employee's contributions are reported to PSRS/PEERS through the OASIS system.
