IL : IMRF Pay Period Report : Cafeteria plan check deductions in reportable wages

The IL IMRF Pay Period Report was fixed to consider Cafeteria plan check deductions in the reportable wages.

  • “Y – Subtract amount from method M additional gross”.

  • Then, subtract this amount from the Gross Wages provided the IMRF Deduction is a Method M deduction

  • If there is no sister deduction:

    • Gross wages = Earnings in the Check History – Deduction amount

  • If there is a sister deduction:

    • Gross wages = Earnings in the Check History – Deduction amount + Sister benefit

  • “A – Add amount to method M additional gross”.

  • Then, add this amount to the Gross Wages provided the IMRF Deduction is a Method M deduction

  • If there is no sister deduction:

    • Gross wages = Earnings in the Check History + Deduction amount

  • If there is a sister deduction:

    • Gross wages = Earnings in the Check History + Deduction amount + Sister benefit

The district admin is expected not to change the deduction setup under HRM → Reference Tables → Payroll → Deductions for the IMRF Pay Period Report to calculate the cafeteria-related deductions/wages correctly. The district admin can choose to change it after they run the IMRF Pay Period report.
