Defined Page 32001 - State Required II

Before generating reports, you must enter valid information on the State Required II page.

Specify Information For Regular Employees

Regular employees do not have a Pending Status of Add Pending on the Employee Information page.

  1. On the start page, choose Human Resources.

  2. Click Entry & Processing, then choose Employee Information (under Employee).

  3. Specify the search criteria, then click Search. Alternatively, you can select Exclude Pending Employees, then click Search.

  4. Double-click the relevant employee record.

  5. Click Personnel Information, then select Defined Windows.

  6. Double-click State Required II.

  7. Refer to Field Descriptions and enter valid information.

  8. Click Accept.

Specify Information For Pending Employees

Pending employees have a Pending Status of Add Pending on the Employee Information page.

  1. On the start page, choose Human Resources.

  2. Click Entry & Processing, then choose Employee Information (under Employee).

  3. Specify the search criteria, then click Search. Alternatively, you can select Only List Pending Employees, then click Search.

  4. Double-click the relevant employee record.

  5. Click State Required II.

  6. Refer to Field Descriptions and enter valid information.

  7. Click Finish.

  8. On the navigation bar, click Finish.

The fields on this page are deprecated and moved to the TEA Staff Responsibilities tables.

Field

Description

TEA Position

Enter the Texas Education Agency (TEA) position code if different from the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) position code.

Part-Time Stat

Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) status of the employee.

Valid values:

  • F - Full-time

  • P - Part-time

  • L - Less than Part-time

Retiree

Defines the employee as a retiree. Employees labeled as retirees can be loaded into the Employment of Retired Members data from Human Resources.

Retire Date

Date of the employee's retirement.

The format is MM/DD/YYYY.

Stat Min FTE

Enter the FTE percentage as an override for Statutory Minimum.

Overrides the employee's primary pay rate for calculating the Statutory Minimum. Overrides are needed for primary pay rates split between two jobs.

Leave blank to use the primary pay rate for calculation.

1.0 = 100%.

Days Worked

Enter the number of days worked to override the calculation for Statutory Minimum.

Staff Type

Employee's staff type.

Valid values:

  • 1 - District Employee

  • 3 - Contracted Professional Staff

  • 4 - Campus Charter Teacher

TRS Class

Employee's TRS class.

TRS recognizes three classes for school districts (10, 11, and 12-month employees) and two classes for service centers (12 month and Instructional staff).

Valid values:

  • 10 - 10 Month

  • 11 - 11 Month

  • 12 - 12 Month

  • I - Instructional staff

TSDS ID

Unique TSDS identification for the employee.

TSDS Emp Stat

Employee's TSDS employment status.

Valid values:

  • 01 - Probationary

  • 02 - Contractual

  • 03 - Substitute/Temporary

  • 04 - Tenured or permanent

  • 05 - Volunteer/no contract

  • 06 - Employed or affiliated with an outside organization

  • 07 - Contingent upon funding

  • 08 - Non-contractual

  • 09 - Self-employed part-time

  • 10 - Employed or affiliated with outside agency part-time

  • 11 - Other

Dist Prof Yrs

District professional years of experience for PEIMS 050 reporting.

1.5 = One and a half years.

If an employee has transitioned from a non-professional position to a professional position, the PEIMS file displays an error. Therefore, you must update the State Required II page and PEIMS record to reflect the employee's years of employment.

TX Svc Rec Yrs

Years of experience in the state as of September 1 of the school year for the Service Record report.

This does not include additional years for career ladder, career and technology education, or qualified teacher aide experience. Career and technology education or qualified teacher aide experience must be recorded as a footnote on the service record.

Total Prof Yrs

Total years of professional experience for PEIMS Personnel Information report.

This can include out-of-state experience.

If an employee has transitioned from a non-professional position to a professional position, the PEIMS file displays an error. Therefore, you must update the State Required II page and PEIMS record to reflect the employee's years of employment.

Prior Prof

Prior professional years of experience for TSDS Dashboard XML.

These are years of experience in a similar professional position at one or more educational institutions.

Override Days

The number of days worked.

Overrides the calculated PEIMS value.

Group Benefit

Group benefit eligibility.

Report to TEAM

Specify whether to include the employee in the TEAM reports.

Ret. Surcharge

Indicates if the employee is subject to retirement surcharges.

Valid values:

  • S - Employee is subject to surcharges.

  • N - Employee is not subject to surcharges.

Ret Emplmt Typ

Employment type for retirement.

Valid values:

  • S - Substitute

  • H - Half-time

  • C - Combination

  • F - Full-time

Aux Role-ID

Identification of the employee's auxiliary role (000-999). For details, refer to Auxiliary Role ID.
