EMIS Profile
Use the EMIS Profile page to add, update, and maintain the EMIS reporting profile settings for Ohio state reporting.
Ensure the EMIS Profile is up-to-date before processing any other EMIS data. Some fields in the profile record (e.g., Report Period, Start Date, End Date) will need to be updated for each EMIS collection or data set.
Update the EMIS Profile
On the start page, select EMIS.
From the EMIS Reference Tables menu, select EMIS Profile.
Refer to the Field descriptions and enter valid information.
Select Update.
Field descriptions
The EMIS Profile page contains the following sections:
General section
The following table describes the fields in the General section of the EMIS Profile page.
Field | Description |

District IRN | The six-digit state-assigned Information Retrieval Number (IRN) that identifies the school district for Ohio EMIS reporting. |
Financial Fiscal Year | The fiscal year used for financial EMIS reporting. This is used for the EMIS data export and various financial reports. |
Financial Reporting Period | The reporting period for financial EMIS submission. This is used for the EMIS data export and various financial reports. Valid values:

Financial Start Date | The start date for the financial reporting period. |
Financial End Date | The end date for the financial reporting period. |
Forecast Fiscal Year | The fiscal year used for creating Five Year Forecast records. |
Staff Fiscal Year | The fiscal year used for staff EMIS reporting. |
Staff Reporting Period | The reporting period for staff EMIS submission. Valid values:

Staff Start Date | The start date for the staff reporting period. |
Staff End Date | The end date for the staff reporting period. |
Start Period | The starting fiscal period (1-13) to be included in the report. |
End Period | The ending fiscal period (1-13) to be included in the report. |
Cost Center ID Level | The level of the organization chart (1-10) that identifies the special cost center (SCC). Generally, these are the last four digits of the level 1 record. |
Function ID Level | The level of the organization chart (1-10) that identifies the function. |
Building ID Level | The level of the organization chart (1-10) that identifies the building. |
Description Crosswalk Code | The two-character table code of the user-defined table to crosswalk account codes and EMIS ODE descriptions for the ODE cash record description. The default table code is CR. |
Exclude Leave Codes section
The drop-down list values in the Exclude Leave Codes section are retrieved from the Leave Table page.

Vacation Leave Codes From and To | The range of vacation leave codes. You can exclude a range of vacation leave codes from an employee’s Absence Days calculation for the EMIS Staff report if the Vacation Leave Codes From and Vacation Leave Codes To fields are not blank. | |
Professional Meetings Leave Codes From and To | The range of leave codes used for professional meetings. | |
Miscellaneous Leave Codes From and To | The first range of leave codes used for miscellaneous reasons. | |
Miscellaneous Leave Codes 2 From and To | The second range of leave codes used for miscellaneous reasons. | |
Miscellaneous Leave Codes 3 From and To | The third range of leave codes used for miscellaneous reasons. | |
Long Term Illness Days Leave Minimum | The minimum number of consecutive days absent required to report long-term illness. For more information, refer to Section 3.3 of the Ohio EMIS manual. |

Include Leave Codes From and To | The range of leave codes to add to the Attendance Days calculation of the EMIS Staff report, so that the days worked outside the calendar are included. The days worked value is retrieved from the absolute value of Earned YTD. |
