Defined Page 500 - MEIS REP

Before generating the MEIS REP (Registry of Educational Personnel) report, enter valid information on the MEIS REP page.

Enter information for regular employees

On the Employee Information page, the Pending Status for a regular employee is blank.

  1. On the start page, select Human Resources.

  2. Select Entry & Processing, then from the Employee menu, select Employee Information.

  3. Enter the Search Criteria and select Search. Alternatively, you can select Exclude Pending Employees and then select Search.
    Refer to Search for records for more information.

  4. Select the relevant employee record and select Accept

  5. Select Personnel Information and then select Defined Windows.

  6. Select 500 and then select Accept

  7. Refer to Field descriptions and enter valid information. 

  8. Select Accept.

Enter information for pending employees

Pending employees require additional information to complete the employee record. On the Employee Information page, the Pending Status on the record displays Add Pending.

  1. On the start page, select Human Resources.

  2. Select Entry & Processing, then from the Employee menu, select Employee Information.

  3. Enter the Search Criteria and select Search. Alternatively, you can select Only List Pending Employees and then select Search.
    Refer to Search for records for more information.

  4. Select the relevant employee record and select Accept

  5. Select MEIS REP

  6. Refer to Field descriptions and enter valid information.

  7. Select Finish.

  8. On the navigation bar, select Finish.

  9. Select OK.

Referencing Report

Position Stat

The status of positions that are either filled by permanent employees, approved substitutes, or outside contractors or that remain unfilled.

Valid values:

  • 1 = funded position has been posted, but no one has been employed to perform the job duties

  • 2 = funded position has not been filled, and an individual has been contracted to fill the position and provide a specific service

  • 3 = permanent employee is not currently reporting to work because of a loan, leave, sabbatical, Family Medical Leave Act leave, educational leave, medical leave, or other type of leave, and no one is assigned to the position

  • 4 = substitute or temporary employee is assigned to fill the position of a permanent employee on loan, leave sabbatical, FMLA leave, educational leave, medical leave, or other type of leave

  • 5 = funded position has been posted, and a substitute has been employed to fill the vacant position

  • 6 = an individual has been contracted to fill the position of a permanent employee on loan or leave

  • 7 = provides contracted services for the district in a non-instructional staff assignment (assignment codes 81500 through 99900), such as food service, transportation, or security

  • 9 = position is filled by a permanently assigned employee

The default value is 9.

Title I Targeted Assistance Program

A teacher assigned to core academic subjects and who receives a salary paid in whole or in part with Title I, Part A funds.

Title I School-wide Program

A teacher assigned to core academic subjects in a Title I school/facility designated as providing a Title I school-wide program.

Title II, A

Title II, Part A Class Size Reduction

A teacher assigned to core academic subjects and salary paid in whole or in part with Title II, Part A funds, and was hired to reduce class size.

Base Salary

Use this field to enter an override for the base annual salary.

Print Date

The last date the employee's fingerprint was updated.

Confirmation

The fingerprint confirmation number.

MEIS REP (Registry of Educational Personnel)

Teacher

Indicates whether the employee is a teacher. 

MEIS REP (Registry of Educational Personnel)

Effectiveness

The employee’s educator effectiveness rating.

Valid values:

  • 01 = Highly Effective

  • 02 = Effective

  • 03 = Ineffective

  • 08 = Minimally Effective

  • 09 = Exemption

  • 12 = Effective

  • 13 = Developing

  • 14 = Needing Support

  • 15 = Exemption: Teacher Effective

  • 16 = Exemption: Administrator Effective

  • 17 = Unevaluated: Worked Less than 60 days

  • 18 = Unevaluated: Extenuating Circumstances

  • 19 = Unevaluated: Vacated due to Grievance

If this field is blank and the value selected in the Assignment field on the Assignments page is any of the Assignment Codes - Effectiveness rating required values, an error is logged when loading data for the MEIS REP (Registry of Educational Personnel) report.

This field is not required for the Assignment codes listed under Assignment Codes - Effectiveness rating not required.

MEIS REP (Registry of Educational Personnel)

Vacancy Start

The employee’s vacancy start date for the vacant fund position.

This field value overrides the value in the Date of Hire field on the MEIS Information form of the MI MEIS REP page.

Vacancy End

The employee’s vacancy end date for the vacant fund position.

This field value overrides the value in the Termination Date field on the MEIS Information form of the MI MEIS REP page.
