Human Resources Profile - State

Before generating the reports, enter valid information on the Human Resources Profile - State page.

  1. On the start page, select System Administration.

  2. Select Administration, then from the Profiles menu, select Human Resources Profile.

  3. Select State Window.

  4. Refer to the Field descriptions and enter valid information.

  5. Select Accept.

The following table lists the fields, descriptions, and reports that reference the fields on the Human Resources Profile - State page.

Description

Referencing Reports

Employee Location Code

The four-character code that indicates the employee’s location.

This code represents the first four characters of the eight-character Location field value on the Employee Information form of the MD Retirement Systems Report page. The State Retirement Agency assigns the location.

Employer Account Number

The State Unemployment Insurance Number associated with the employer.

The leading zeros associated with the specified number are required.

Leave Type

Indicates the unit used to count leave.

Valid values:

  • D - Days

  • H - Hours

This field is no longer used.

Not applicable

Career Ladder Code

The Table Code of the User Defined Table used to store the valid values for the teacher career ladder.

Annual Staff Report

Instructional Coach Code

The Table Code of the User Defined Table used to store the valid values for the instructional coach position.

Annual Staff Report

Teacher Location Code

The four-character code that indicates the teacher’s location.

This code represents the first four characters of the eight-character Location field value on the Employee Information form of the MD Retirement Systems Report page. The State Retirement Agency assigns the location.

MD Retirement Systems Report

Local Education Agency

The two-digit state code of the local education agency.

For a list of valid values, refer to Data Element: Local Education Agency (LEA) in the Data Definitions and Instructions section of the Staff Reporting System Specifications and Procedures Manual.


Use Budget Code Crosswalk

Indicates whether to use the MD Budget Code Crosswalk to relate the system budget code to the MSDE budget code for terminated employees.

MD Annual Staff Report

Use GL Account Crosswalk

Indicates whether to enable and use the GL Account Crosswalk to load data for the following reports:

  • MSDE GL Accounts Report

  • MSDE Period Balances Report

  • MSDE Transaction Details Report

If this option is selected, the GL Account Crosswalk option displays under the Setup menu of these reports.
