IN New Hire Report Enhancement

IN New Hire Report specification changes are now available. The new required fields for the New Hire Report are Starting Pay Rate, Starting Pay / Salary, Job Title, and Standard Occupational Classification code (SOC Code).

The new required fields Starting Pay Rate, Starting Pay / Salary, and Job Title have been added to the newly defined 32001 page - New Hire Information. When filled, these fields could act as an override. Otherwise, this data will be fetched from the Employee’s Primary Pay Rate based on the logic below.

  • If Primary Payrate → Pay Method → Hourly,

    • Then Starting Pay Rate - Starting Pay / Salary combo → H – Docking Rate (from Pay Rate)

  • If Primary Payrate → Pay Method → Daily,

    • Then Starting Pay Rate - Starting Pay / Salary combo → O – Docking Rate (from Pay Rate)

  • If Primary Payrate → Pay Method → Other than H or D,

    • Then Starting Pay Rate - Starting Pay / Salary combo → A – Annual Salary (from Pay Rate)

      • If Annual Salary is not present, then Starting Pay Rate - Starting Pay / Salary combo → H – Docking Rate (from Pay Rate)

  • Primary Payrate → Job Class → Job Title

Also, the existing SOC code from the State Required Screen is used as it is for the New Hire Reporting.

All four new fields are added to the Hardcopy - PDF, Hardcopy - Excel, and Electronic files.
