Termination (ED90) Record Generation

Employee Termination (ED90) records are automatically created during the TEAM load process. The Employee Data and Termination Data sections on the TX Team Report - Termination (ED90) page are populated in the following way:

  • The Employee Data section is automatically populated from the employee’s latest demographic record. An error message appears if the employee does not have a demographic record.

  • The date in the Last Day Worked field in the Termination Data section is retrieved from the Last Day Worked field in the Termination Information section on the Employee Information page. If the Last Day Worked field is empty, the termination date is used as the Last Day Worked.

  • The date in the Final Payroll Date field in the Termination Data section is set to the employee's termination date. If the termination date is modified in the future, you can create a new ED90 record to reflect the new date in the Final Payroll Date field.

  • The code in the Termination Code field in the Termination Data section defaults to the End of Employment code. The code is set to Death when the relevant termination code is used.

When an employee is terminated with a code of Death, their TRS Annual Salary is reported. Using the payrate fields, it is calculated with the following formula:

  • For Hourly Employees - Contract Days * Docking Rate * Hours/Day

  • For Salaried Employees - Contract Days * Docking Rate

The exception is any employee without deductions associated with the following deduction types in the Deduction Code Crosswalk. Employees should have one of these deduction types to be eligible for TRS:

  • Retirement Deduction

  • Performance Pay Deduction
