Ed-Fi Staff Extensions - PEIMS

Use the TX Ed-Fi Staff Extensions page to add Ed-Fi staff extension information for your district's employees. 

You can also import Ed-Fi staff extension records from a .csv file.

The following table shows the entity names and their field names for which you can enter values.

Menu path

From the main navigation menu, select PEIMS, then Data Exchange (Ed-Fi). From the Staff menu, select Ed-Fi Staff Extensions.

Maintain data

  1. On the TX Ed-Fi Staff Extensions page, enter the Search Criteria and select Search.

  2. To add a record, select Add new. Refer to the Field descriptions and enter valid information.

  3. In the field values grid, select a field from the drop-down list in the Field Name column.

  4. Refer to the Field descriptions - Field value grid and enter a valid value in the Value column.

  5. Enter a brief description in the Description column.

  6. Select Insert Row to add a new row. Select Delete Row to delete an unused row.

  7. Select Accept.

    • To delete a record, select the record. Select Delete, and then Yes.

    • To generate a report, select Print, and then select a Destination:

      • Select File to create the report in .rpt format. The default file name is tx_staff_ext.rpt. You can change the default file name.

      • Select Screen to download the report in .pdf format. The default file name is tx_staff_ext_<xxxxx>.pdf.

      • Select Excel to download the report in .xls format. Select the required Excel Options. The default file name is tx_staff_extrpt<xxxx_xxxxx>.xlsx.

        • Select OK.

          • Download the .rpt file from the View Files page.

          • Save the .pdf or .xls file.
            For more information about the Print option, refer to Print Reports.

Field descriptions

The following table describes the fields on the TX Ed-Fi Staff Extensions page.

Employee Number

The employee’s identification (ID) number.

Select the Lookup icon to search for and select an employee number.

This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record.

The field value is retrieved from the Employee Number field on the Employee Information page.

Staff ID

The employee’s social security number, without dashes.

This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record.

The field value is retrieved from the Social Security field on the Employee Information page.

Entity Name

The name of the Ed-Fi entity.

This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record.

For information about adding values for the fields under each entity, refer to Field descriptions - Field values grid.

Begin Date

The beginning date of the Ed-Fi staff extension record.

This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record.

The ending date of the Ed-Fi staff extension record.

This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record.

This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record.

The valid values are 000-999.

The number of days per year the employee works.

This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record.

PercentDayEmployed

The percent of the standard district day the employee works.

This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record.

ParaProfessionalCertificationSet

ParaprofessionalCertification

Indicates whether the employee is a certified paraprofessional.

This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record.

Valid values:

  • 0 = Employee is not certified

  • 1 = Employee is certified

StaffTypeSet

StaffType

The employee’s staff type.

This field is view-only and cannot be updated after saving the record.

Valid values:

  • 1 = District Employee

  • 3 = Contracted Professional Staff

  • 4 = Campus Charter Teacher
