EMIS Update Position Salaries Report - File Layout and Data Mapping

The default file names for the EMIS Update Position Salaries report are:

  • PDF: EMIS Update Position Salaries Report_<MMDDYYYY>_<hhmmss>.pdf

  • Excel: EMIS Update Position Salaries Report_<MMDDYYYY>_<hhmmss>.csv

The following table shows the columns, field names, descriptions, and data sources or valid values for the EMIS Update Position Salaries report’s .csv file format.

LAST NAME

The employee’s last name.

Retrieved from the Last Name field on the Employee Information page.

B

FIRST NAME

The employee’s first name.

Retrieved from the First Name field on the Employee Information page.

C

EMPLOYEE NUMBER

The employee’s identification number.

Retrieved from the Employee Number field on the Employee Information page.

D

DESCRIPTION

Indicates whether the Scheduled Work Days and Contract Pay Amount/Rate fields on the EMIS Position Information page were updated.

Contains messages such as:

  • Salary amount/rate UPDATED for position XXX contract code YYY

  • Scheduled work days UPDATED

Calculated during the update process. The system automatically generates a status message describing the action taken.

E

OLD AMOUNT/RATE

The original salary amount or hourly rate value in the Contract Pay Amount/Rate field before the update process was executed.

Retrieved from the Contracted Pay Amount/Rate field on the Contract Data tab on the Employment tab of the EMIS Staff Report page.

F

NEW AMOUNT/RATE

The newly calculated Contract Pay Amount/Rate field value after retrieving current pay information from the Payrate table.

  • For hourly/salary employees (Pay Method = H or S), this is the current rate value.

  • For annual employees, this is the annual salary multiplied by the position FTE.

Retrieved from the Rate field (for hourly employees) or calculated from the Annual Salary field multiplied by Position FTE (for salaried employees) on the Pay Rates page.

G

OLD DAYS

The original number of scheduled work days in the Scheduled Work Days field before the update process was executed.

Retrieved from the Scheduled Work Days field on the Contract Data tab on the Employment tab of the EMIS Staff Report page.

H

NEW DAYS

The newly calculated number of scheduled work days retrieved from the Scheduled Work Days field on the Payrate record.

Retrieved from the Days Worked field on the Pay Rates page.
