NE NSSRS Report - Setup - Load Data

Use the NE NSSRS Report - Setup page to configure the parameters used for generating the NSSRS (Nebraska Student and Staff Record System) report before loading data.

  1. On the NE NSSRS Report page, select Load, then Setup.

  2. Refer to the Section descriptions and enter or select the required information.

The following table shows the sections and descriptions of the NE NSSRS Report - Setup page.

Description

District Information

This section contains the district's email domain used to generate employee email addresses for NSSRS reporting.

In the Email Domain field, enter the district's email domain (e.g., schooldistrict.org).

Employee Types

Allows selection of up to 18 employee types that should be included when loading data for the NSSRS report.

You must report all staff who require certification, including instructional paraprofessionals.

Status Codes

Allows selection of up to 12 employee status codes that determine which employees are included when loading data for the NSSRS report.

Benefit Deduction Codes

A list of up to seven deduction codes from the payroll deduction table used to calculate the employee's salary benefits amount, including health insurance, dental insurance, disability insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, and any other insurance paid by the district. Include 403B plan, Retirement, FICA, and Medicare if the district pays.

Pay Codes

A list of up to 10 pay codes with their corresponding pay type (Pay Codes, Additional Compensation, or Benefit Codes) used to calculate salary, additional compensation, and benefits for the report.

In the Pay Type column:

  • Select P – Pay Codes for any codes that should be included in the column for base salary.

  • Select A - Additional Compensation for any pay codes that should be included in the column for additional compensation. This would consist of extra duty, bonus pay, incentive pay, performance pay, and stipends.

  • Select B – Benefit Codes for any unused sick or vacation leave, cash instead of insurance (if paid by the school district) that should be included in the Benefits column.
