Payroll Information - State Required

Before generating reports, enter valid information on the Minnesota TRA/PERA Information page.

Enter information for regular employees

On the Employee Information page, the Pending Status for a regular employee is blank.

  1. From the Human Resources menu, select Entry & Processing. From the Employee menu, select Employee Information.  

  2. Select Exclude Pending Employees, enter the search criteria, and click Search.

  3. Select an employee record and click Accept

  4. From the Payroll Information menu, select Sate Required

  5. Refer to Field descriptions and enter valid information. 

  6. On the navigation bar, click Accept.

Enter information for pending employees

Pending employees require additional information to complete the employee record. On the Employee Information page, the Pending Status on the record displays Add Pending.

  1. From the Human Resources menu, select Entry & Processing. From the Employee menu, select Employee Information.  

  2. Select Only List Pending Employees, enter the search criteria, and click Search.

  3. Select an employee record and click Accept.  

  4. Select Minnesota TRA/PERA Information.

  5. Refer to Field descriptions and enter valid information. 

  6. Click Finish.

The following table describes the fields on the Minnesota TRA/PERA Information page.

Field Name

Description

Referencing Reports

TRA Member ID

The member identification number assigned to the teacher or licensed staff by TRA.

TRA Retirement Report

PERA Member ID

The member identification number assigned to the teacher or licensed staff by PERA.

PERA Elig Date

The employee’s PERA eligibility date.

Enter a date only when the eligibility date differs from the hire date.

Annuitant Type

The annuitant type of the PERA/TRA member.

The valid values are:

  • TA: TRA Annuitant

  • PA: PERA Annuitant

  • TD: TRA Disabilitant

  • PD: PERA Disabilitant

TRA Position

The TRA position of the teacher or licensed staff.

The valid values are:

  • 01 - Teacher

  • 02 - Administrator

TRA Retirement Report

TRA Elig Code

The TRA eligibility class code of the teacher or licensed staff.

The class code can be between 01 to 24.

TRA Eligibility Class codes are stored in the User Defined Table EL.

TRA Retirement Report

PERA Position

The PERA position code of the teacher or licensed staff.

PERA Position codes are stored in the User Defined Table PC.

PERA Annual Leave Report

PERA Exclusion Report

PERA Retirement Report

PERA Pos Class

The PERA position class.

For example, SL for seasonal position class.

PERA Position Class codes are stored in the User Defined Table CL.

PERA Exclusion

The exclusion reason code for which the employee is not eligible for PERA upon hire.

PERA Exclusion codes are stored in the User Defined Table EX.

PERA Exclusion Report

PERA Job Title

The PERA member’s position title.

For example, coach.

PERA Retirement Report

Employee Status

The employee status code.

Employee status codes are stored in the User Defined Table ES.

Status Date

The date when the employee’s status code changed.
