Human Resources Profile - State
Use the Human Resources Profile - State page to define district-level and employer-level identifiers required for Minnesota state reporting. This page allows users to enter employer numbers and account codes that are automatically populated into various Minnesota compliance reports, ensuring accurate and consistent reporting to state agencies.
Before generating the reports, enter valid information on the Human Resources Profile - State page.
On the start page, select System Administration.
Select Administration, then from the Profiles menu, select Human Resources Profile.
Select State Window.
Refer to the Field descriptions and enter valid information.
Select Accept.

PERA Employer Number | The employer identification number assigned by the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) of Minnesota. This number appears on PERA Demographic and PERA Contribution reports. | |
TRA Employer Number | The employer identification number assigned by the Teachers Retirement Association (TRA) of Minnesota. This number appears on TRA Payroll and TRA Demographic reports. | |
MDE District Number | The district number assigned by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE). This number is used for state education reporting and corresponds to the school district's official identification in the Minnesota state education system. | |
MDE District Type | The district type code assigned by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE). This code classifies the type of educational organization (e.g., independent school district, charter school, intermediate district, etc.) for state education reporting purposes. For more information, refer to MDE district type. | |
UI Employer Account Number - Non-Exempt | The unemployment insurance (UI) employer account number for non-exempt employees. This number is used for Minnesota quarterly unemployment wage reporting for non-exempt staff. | |
UI Employer Account Number - Exempt | The unemployment insurance (UI) employer account number for exempt employees. This allows separate UI reporting for exempt and non-exempt employee populations. |
