User-Defined Codes - Fund Accounting
Use the Fund Accounting user-defined codes to set up crosswalks between organizations or accounts in the Fund Accounting system and the state-defined codes, which must be reported to the Michigan Education Information System (MEIS) Financial Information Database (FID). Any organization chart level or account code not on the state School Code Master or the Michigan School Accounting Manual Chart of Accounts must be defined in a user-defined table if used by the district.
Set Up Crosswalks
On the start page, choose Fund Accounting.
Select Reference Tables, then choose User Defined Codes.
Click Add new.
Refer to Field Descriptions and enter valid information.
Click Accept.
Repeat these steps to create records for the remaining organization or account codes to be crosswalked to the state codes.
For the Fund code crosswalk, you must set up any fund code not reportable to MEIS with 99 in the Title. Funds with a corresponding crosswalk value of 99 are bypassed while loading data.
