Fund Code List
Use the MI Fund Code List page to add, update, delete, and search Michigan FID (Financial Information Database) Fund codes for state compliance reporting.
This page maintains the master list of state-required fund codes used in Michigan's annual Financial Information Database (FID) submission. Fund codes classify district financial activities by fund type (e.g., General Fund, Special Revenue, Debt Service) as defined by the Michigan Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI).
On the start page, select Fund Accounting, then State.
From the MEIS Reference Tables - MI menu, select Fund Code List.
Enter the Search Criteria to find the required fund code list records, and then select Search.
Refer to Search for Records for more information.To add a record, select Add Record. Refer to the Field descriptions, enter valid information, and select Save.
To edit a record, select the ellipsis in the Actions column, then select Edit.
To delete a record, select the ellipsis in the Actions column, select Delete, then select Yes.
Field descriptions
The following table describes the fields on the MI Fund Code List page.
Fields | Description |

FID Fund Code | A two-character state-mandated code identifying the fund classification as defined by CEPI. Used in the FID submission file. Examples: 11 for the General Fund, 21 for the Special Revenue Fund, 41 for the Debt Service Fund. |
Fund Description | A text label (up to 100 characters) explaining the fund type. |
ISD | A one-character indicator specifying whether this fund code applies to Intermediate School Districts (ISDs). ISDs are regional educational service agencies in Michigan that may have different fund reporting requirements than local school districts. Valid values:

Center Program | A one-character indicator specifying whether this fund code is used for center-based programs. Center programs are special educational programs (such as career/technical education centers or special education centers) that operate across multiple districts and require separate fund accounting. Valid values:

Data Collection Level | A numeric value indicating the level of detail at which financial data should be collected and reported for this fund. Determines how transaction data is aggregated for state reporting purposes. For correct reporting, use the data collection level codes defined in the Michigan FID User Guide or CEPI technical specifications. |
