TEAM Defaults

Use the TEAM Defaults page to add and update TEAM defaults for your district's employees. 

Enter TEAM Defaults information

  1. On the start page, select Human Resources.

  2. Select Entry & Processing, then from the Employee menu, select Employee Information.

  3. Enter the search criteria, then select Search. Alternatively, you can select Exclude Pending Employees and then select Search.

  4. Select the relevant employee record, then select Accept

  5. Select Actions, then TEAM Defaults

    • To add a record, select Insert Row. Refer to the Field descriptions, enter valid information, and select Accept.

    • To edit a record, select the record and update the information. Select Accept.

    • To delete, select the record and select Delete Row.

TEAM Employee Defaults

The following table describes the fields in the TEAM Employee Defaults section on the TEAM Defaults page.

TRS Position Code

The employee's TRS position code.

Valid values:

  • 01 - Professional/Administrative

  • 02 - Teacher or Full-time Librarian

  • 03 - Support Staff

  • 04 - Bus Driver

  • 05 - Full-time Nurse/Counselor

  • 06 - Peace Officer

  • 07 - Support Staff-Food Service Worker

  • 09 - Summer School Pay

FTE Hours

The number of hours per week required for an employee to be considered full-time.

The valid values are 30 through 40.

Enter zero if the employee is not full-time.

Employee Type

The employee's employment type.

Valid values:

  • S - Substitute

  • P - Less than half-time

  • F - Half-time or more

  • M - Temporary

  • E - Surge personnel exception

  • B - Non-profit tutor substitute

  • N - Non-profit tutor half-time or less

  • T - Non-profit tutor full-time

Nonstandard Work Week

Indicates whether the employee works a non-standard workweek.

Otherwise, leave this field blank.

Valid values:

  • Yes

  • No

Position FTE

The employee’s full-time equivalent (FTE) for the position.

The valid value must not exceed 1.000.

TEAM Employee State Minimum Salary

The following table describes the fields in the TEAM Employee State Minimum Salary section on the TEAM Defaults page.

State Schedule

The three-character TEA-defined salary schedule code for the statutory minimum.

Not applicable

State Step

The employee's state step.

The valid value depends on the employee's assigned Salary Schedule and Salary Group.

FTE

The employee’s full-time equivalent (FTE).

The valid value must not exceed 1.000.

Months Worked

The actual number of months worked by the employee during the year.

Valid values:

  • 10

  • 11

  • 12

Days Worked

The actual number of days worked by the employee.

Valid values:

187 = This is the minimum required for a standard 10-month contract

202-206 = For 11-month contracts

220-225 = For 12-month contracts

State Minimum Salary

The employee’s statutory minimum amount.

The valid values are the annual salary amounts based on the Texas Education Agency's (TEA) minimum salary schedule.

Override Salary

Override for the state schedule.

Valid values:

  • Y = Use the statutory minimum amount

  • N = Use the statutory minimum salary from the salary schedule
