Quarterly Wage Report Setup

Before generating the Quarterly Wage report, ensure that valid information is entered in the following fields on the South Carolina State Required page:

  • UI Tax Exempt

  • Worksite

  • SOC Code

  • Owner / Officer

When you create the electronic file for the Quarterly Wage report, the information is populated for the employees who are reported.

State Required Page - Employee Information

There are two ways you can specify employee information:

Specify New Hire Information For Regular Employees

Regular employees are those employees who do not have a Pending Status of "Add Pending" on the Employee Information page.

  1. On the application start page, select Menu -> Human Resources -> Entry & Processing -> Employee Information (under Employee).

  2. Specify the search criteria to find the required regular employees. Click Find.
    OR

    You can also leave all Search Criteria fields blank, and select only Exclude Pending Employees. Click Find to display the list of regular employees.

  3. Double-click the relevant employee record.

  4. On the navigation bar, click Payroll Information, and select State Required.
    The following table describes the required fields on the South Carolina State Required - <First Name Last Name (Employee number)> page.

    Enter Y to exclude the employee from the Quarterly Wage report.

    Enter Y to report the employee as an owner/officer in the Quarterly Wage report.

  5. Enter valid information in the required fields, and on the navigation bar, click OK.

    If there are other fields that need to be filled with valid information, a message is displayed beside the blank field. Ensure that you specify valid information in all these fields, and then click OK.

The next step is to create the Quarterly Wage Report.

Specify New Hire Information For Pending Employees

Pending employees are those employees with a Pending Status of Add Pending on the Employee Information page.

  1. On the application start page, select Menu -> Human Resources -> Entry & Processing -> Employee Information (under Employee).

  2. Specify the search criteria to find the required pending employees. Click Find.
    OR
    You can also leave all Search Criteria fields blank, and select only Only List Pending Employees. Click Find to display the list of pending employees.

  3. Double-click the relevant employee record.

  4. Click SC State Required (under Personnel).

  5. Enter valid information in the required fields, and click Finish.

  6. On the navigation bar, click Finish.

    If there are other fields that need to be filled with valid information, a message is displayed. Ensure that you specify valid information in all these fields, and then click OK.

  7. Click OK.

The next step is to create the Quarterly Wage Report.
