Assignments

You must create employee assignments before generating reports.

Enter Assignment information for regular employees

On the Employee Information page, the Pending Status for a regular employee is blank.

  1. On the start page, select Human Resources.

  2. Select Entry & Processing, then from the Employee menu, select Employee Information.

  3. Enter the Search Criteria and select Search. Alternatively, you can select Exclude Pending Employees and then select Search.
    Refer to Search for records for more information.

  4. Select the relevant employee record and select Accept.

  5. Select Personnel Information and then select Assignments.

  6. Select Add new. Refer to the Field descriptions and enter valid information.

  7. Select Accept.

Enter Assignment information for pending employees

Pending employees require additional information to complete their records. On the Employee Information page, the record's Pending Status displays as Add Pending.

  1. On the start page, select Human Resources.

  2. Select Entry & Processing, then from the Employee menu, select Employee Information.

  3. Enter the Search Criteria and select Search. Alternatively, you can select Only List Pending Employees and then select Search.
    Refer to Search for records for more information.

  4. Select the relevant employee record and select Accept

  5. Select Assignments.

  6. Select Add new. Refer to the Field descriptions and enter valid information.

  7. Select Finish.

  8. On the navigation bar, select Finish.

  9. Select OK.

The following tables describe the Pennsylvania-specific fields on the Assignments page.

The Assignments page contains the following sections:

Pennsylvania Assignment Information

The Assignment Information section of the Pennsylvania-specific Assignments page contains the same fields as the Assignment Information section on the default Assignments page.

Additional Information

The Additional Information section of the Pennsylvania-specific Assignments page contains the following fields in addition to those in the Additional Information section of the default Assignments page.

Field

Description

Completion Date

The assignment’s completion date.

Start Date

The assignment’s start date.

Grade Level

The Grade Level section of the Pennsylvania-specific Assignments page contains the same fields as the Grade Level section of the default Assignments page except the following fields:

  • Pre-Kindergarten

  • Kindergarten

Additional Grades

The Additional Grades section is Pennsylvania-specific and contains the following fields.

Field

Description

Pre-K Half Day

Indicates that the employee is assigned to teach pre-kindergarten for a half day.

Pre-K Full Day

Indicates that the employee is assigned to teach pre-kindergarten for the whole day.

K-4 Half Day

Indicates that the employee is assigned to teach kindergarten to fourth grade for a half day.

K-4 Full Day

Indicates that the employee is assigned to teach kindergarten to fourth grade for the whole day.

K-5 Half Day

Indicates that the employee is assigned to teach kindergarten to fifth grade for a half day.

K-5 Full Day

Indicates that the employee is assigned to teach kindergarten to fifth grade for the whole day.
