TRS Retirement Report - Setup - Retirement Deductions

  1. On the NY TRS Retirement Report page, select Setup, and then Retirement Deductions.

  2. Filter records using the filter criteria. To enter filter criteria:

    1. Select an option in the first field.

    2. Select or enter a value.

    3. Select Add if the button is enabled.
      Refer to Search for Records for more information.

      • To add a record, click Add Record. Refer to the Field descriptions and enter valid information in the required fields. Select Save, and then Yes.

      • To edit a record, select the ellipsis in the Actions column and then select Edit. Update the information and select Save.

      • To delete a record, select the ellipsis in the Actions column, select Delete, and then select Yes.

Field descriptions

The following table describes the fields on the Retirement Deductions form of the NY TRS Retirement Report - Setup - Retirement Deductions page.

Deduction Code

The deduction code.

Select Lookup to search for and select a retirement deduction code from the Deduction Code Search Tool.

The Deduction Code Search Tool records are retrieved from the Deduction Table page.

Description

The retirement deduction’s description.

The value is retrieved from the Deduction Table page.

Retirement Type

The retirement system to which the deduction applies.

Valid values:

  • ERS

  • TRS

Contribution Type

The type of contribution for the retirement deduction.

If ERS is selected in the Retirement Type field, the valid values are:

  • ERS Retirement

  • Service Credits

  • Loan Repayment

If TRS is selected in the Retirement Type field, the valid values are:

  • Loan Deduction

  • Plan Contribution

  • Voluntary Contribution

Contribution Method

The contribution method for the retirement deduction.

If ERS is selected in the Retirement Type field, the valid values are:

  • Pre-Tax Contribution

  • Post-Tax Contribution

Adjustment Indicator

Indicates whether the ERS retirement deduction is used for an adjustment.
