Assignments

You must set up employee assignments to report the data to the Missouri Student Information System (MOSIS). You must set up assignments using the Missouri State Assignment codes.

Enter Baseline Assignment Information For Regular Employees

On the Employee Information page, the Pending Status for a regular employee is blank.

  1. On the start page, select Human Resources.

  2. Select Entry & Processing, then select Employee Information.

  3. Enter the search criteria, select Exclude Pending Employees, and then select Search.

  4. Select the relevant employee record, then select Accept

  5. Select Personnel Information, then select Assignments.

  6. Select Add new. Refer to Field Descriptions and enter the required information.

  7. Select Accept.

Enter Baseline Assignment Information For Pending Employees

Pending employees require additional information to complete the employee record. On the Employee Information page, the Pending Status on the record displays Add Pending.

  1. On the start page, select Human Resources.

  2. Select Entry & Processing, then from the Employee menu, select Employee Information.

  3. Enter the search criteria, select Only List Pending Employees, and then select Search.

  4. Select the relevant employee record, then select Accept

  5. Select Assignments.

  6. Select Add new. Refer to Field Descriptions and enter the required information.

  7. Select Finish.

  8. On the navigation bar, select Finish.

  9. Select OK.

Description

Assignment

The position assignment code.

Assignment codes are defined in the Assignment Code table.

Percent

Full-Time Equivalency (FTE)

The decimal value representing the percentage of time spent on the assignment.

100% = 1.00

Period

The number of periods spent on the assignment.

Location

The work location code for the assignment.

Location codes are defined in the Location table.

Primary Assignment

Indicates if this is the primary assignment.

Job Class

The job class for the assignment.

The values in this field are retrieved from the Job Class table.

Position

The position code for the assignment.

Highly Qualified Area

The highly qualified area for the assignment.

The values in this field are retrieved from the Qualification Code table.

Highly Qualified Reason

The highly qualified status for the assignment.

The values in this field are retrieved from the Qualification Methods table.

Number of Classes

The number of classes taught for this position.

The default is zero.

CTE Months

The total months contracted for the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.

CTE Program Type

The CTE program type.

Late Start Date

The late start date for the assignment.

Early End Date

The early end date for the assignment.

Pre-Kindergarten

Indicates that the employee is assigned to Developmental Kindergarten.

This includes Young Fives, Early Fives, Jump Start, Begindergarten, etc.

Kindergarten

Indicates that the employee is assigned to Kindergarten.

1st Grade

Indicates that the employee is assigned to the First grade.

2nd Grade

Indicates that the employee is assigned to the Second grade.

3rd Grade

Indicates that the employee is assigned to the Third grade.

4th Grade

Indicates that the employee is assigned to the Fourth grade.

5th Grade

Indicates that the employee is assigned to the Fifth grade.

6th Grade

Indicates that the employee is assigned to the Sixth grade.

7th Grade

Indicates that the employee is assigned to the Seventh grade.

8th Grade

Indicates that the employee is assigned to the Eighth grade.

9th Grade

Indicates that the employee is assigned to the Ninth grade.

10th Grade

Indicates that the employee is assigned to the Tenth grade.

11th Grade

Indicates that the employee is assigned to the Eleventh grade.

12th Grade

Indicates that the employee is assigned to the Twelfth grade.
