ASBR Report - Expenditures

The Annual Secretary of the Board Report (ASBR), used by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), is a formal annual financial report that each public school district or charter school in Missouri is required to submit.

ASBR Expenditures Report

The ASBR Expenditures report:

  • Includes expenditure data for each district, detailed by fund (teachers fund, incidental fund, capital projects, debt service) and by category (instruction, support services, operations, etc.).

  • Shows beginning and ending fund balances, so one can see how much is carried forward or diminished.

  • Includes information on both long-term and short-term debt, enabling stakeholders to understand each district’s debt obligations.

  • Includes some “special calculation reports”, such as building-level current expenditures, transportation cost reports, etc.

Menu path

From the Fund Accounting menu, select State. From the State - MO menu, select ASBR Report - Expenditures.

Submission period

For a given school fiscal year, the ASBR is due by August 15 of the following year.

Selection rule

ASBR expenditure data is selected and reported.

Complete the Setup procedures.
