ASBR Report - Expenditures
The Annual Secretary of the Board Report (ASBR), used by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), is a formal annual financial report that each public school district or charter school in Missouri is required to submit.
ASBR Expenditures Report
The ASBR Expenditures report:
Includes expenditure data for each district, detailed by fund (teachers fund, incidental fund, capital projects, debt service) and by category (instruction, support services, operations, etc.).
Shows beginning and ending fund balances, so one can see how much is carried forward or diminished.
Includes information on both long-term and short-term debt, enabling stakeholders to understand each district’s debt obligations.
Includes some “special calculation reports”, such as building-level current expenditures, transportation cost reports, etc.
