Acct Manager/Rev Class

Use the Acct Manager/Rev Class page to associate Revenue Ledger accounts with a revenue class and account manager.

The MN Revenue Class/Account Manager page supports data classification that enables Minnesota school districts to:

  • Categorize their revenue and expense accounts with appropriate Revenue Class codes.

  • Assign responsibility by linking accounts to Account Managers.

  • Maintain compliance with Minnesota's UFAR reporting requirements.

  • Streamline year-end processes by copying classifications between fiscal years.

The records on the MN Revenue Class/Account Manager page are retrieved from the Revenue Budgets page.

You cannot add or delete records on the MN Revenue Class/Account Manager page.

  1. On the MN Revenue Class/Account Manager page, filter records using the filter criteria. To enter filter criteria:

    1. Select an option in the first field.

    2. Select or enter a value.

    3. Select Add if the button is enabled.
      Refer to Search for records for more information.

      • To edit a record, select the ellipsis in the Actions column and then select Edit. Refer to the Field descriptions and update the information. Select Save.

Field descriptions

The following table describes the fields on the Revenue Class/Account Manager form accessed from the MN Revenue Class/Account Manager page.

Field

Description

Year

The fiscal year of the revenue ledger record.

The value is retrieved from the Revenue Budgets page.

Full Account Number

The consolidated account identifier combining the BUDGET CODE and Account field values into a single formatted string.

This field is displayed when Full Account Structure is enabled.

BUDGET CODE

The budget code of the revenue ledger record.

The value is retrieved from the Revenue Budgets page.

This field is hidden when Full Account Structure is enabled.

Account

The account from the range stored in your Fund Accounting profile's Revenue fields.

The value is retrieved from the Revenue Budgets page.

This field is hidden when Full Account Structure is enabled.

Title

The title of the revenue ledger account.

The value is retrieved from the Revenue Budgets page.

Account Title

The title or description of the revenue budget unit account.

The value is retrieved from the Revenue Budgets page.

Account Type

The account type.

The valid value is R.

The value is retrieved from the Revenue Budgets page.

Revenue Class

The revenue class for the account.

The values in the drop-down list are retrieved from the User Defined Table RC.

Account Manager

The account manager for the account.

The values in the drop-down list are retrieved from the User Defined Table AM.

Copy

Use the Copy option to bulk copy Revenue Class and Account Manager assignments from one fiscal year to another, saving time during year-end rollover.

  1. On the MN Revenue Class/Account Manager page, filter records using the filter criteria:

    1. Select Year in the first field.

    2. In the second field, select the year from which you want to copy Revenue Class and Account Manager assignments.

  2. Select Copy.

  3. Select the To Year and select OK.

  4. Select Yes.
