The following table describes the options in the Basis for ORS Class drop-down list on the Human Resources Profile - State page:
Basis for ORS Class | Class Code or Account Code | Wage Code |

ACCT - Account Code | If a crosswalk exists for the account code associated with the Paycode on the Employee Payrate or Timecard, the ORS Retirement class code from the crosswalk is used as the class code on the DTL2 report. If no crosswalk exists for the account code (under HRM Account Code in the Crosswalk table), the class code on the DTL2 report is the account code associated with the Employee Payrate or Timecard pay code.
| The wage code associated with the job class is always looked at first. If no crosswalk exists for the class code or the account code associated with the Paycode on the Employee Payrate or Timecard, the wage code defaults to 01. If a crosswalk exists for the account code associated with the Paycode on the Employee Payrate or Timecard and no mapping exists for the class code (job class), the wage code associated with the account code crosswalk is used. If a crosswalk exists for the class code (job class) associated with Paycode on the Employee Payrate or Timecard or the wage code associated with the job class crosswalk is used.
For the summer pay, if the check date is out of the range for the job classes defined under Payrate classes, it is reported as summer pay with wage code 08. |
CLASS - Job Class | If a crosswalk exists for the job class associated with the Paycode on the Employee Payrate or Timecard (under Payroll class code in the Crosswalk table), the ORS Retirement class code from the crosswalk is used as the class code on the DTL2 report. If no crosswalk exists for the class code (job class) under Payroll class code in the Crosswalk table, the class code on the DTL2 report is the class code (job class) associated with the Paycode on the Employee Payrate or Timecard.

If there is no crosswalk for the account code or class code (job class), the class code on the DTL2 report is the account code associated with the Paycode on the Employee Payrate or Timecard. If there is no crosswalk for the class code (job class) and If a crosswalk exists for the account code, the ORS Retirement class code from the account code crosswalk is used as the class code on the report.
