MI | MEIS REP | FALL 2026 Changes | Load Logic Changes

Updated the MEIS REP load logic to align with Michigan’s Fall 2026 MEIS REP specification changes. The value “08 - Medical Degree” is no longer treated as a valid Highest Education Level value during the load process.

  • The value “08 - Medical Degree” has been removed from the valid values for the Highest Education Level dropdown in the MEIS REP load logic.

  • If an employee has “08 - Medical Degree” assigned in Employee Information → Personnel Information → Degrees, the MEIS REP Load Summary Report now displays the warning: “08 IS NOT A VALID DEGREE, DEFAULTING TO 00”.

  • When the invalid degree code 08 is encountered, the loaded data automatically defaults the degree value to “00 - None”.

MI | MEIS REP | FALL 2026 Changes | Error Report Logic Changes

The MEIS REP Report Summary error report logic has been updated for Michigan Fall 2026 reporting specifications. When an employee has the invalid degree code 08 - Medical Degree assigned in Employee Information → Personnel Information → Degrees, the system now displays the warning message 08 IS NOT A VALID DEGREE, DEFAULTING TO 00 in the MEIS REP Error Report.

If the employee has the invalid degree code 08 - Medical Degree, the degree value is automatically mapped to 00 - None on the reports. This change is primarily applicable to the already loaded data when 08 was a valid degree. For new data loads, the invalid degree is automatically mapped to 00, and this will be communicated through the Load Summary Report.

MI | Quarterly Unemployment Report | Out of State Wages Enhancement

The Quarterly Unemployment Report has been enhanced to ensure that out of state wages are reported only once per year for each employee.

What's New:

  • The system now identifies whether an employee's out of state wages have already been loaded for a previous quarter within the same calendar year.

  • If out of state wages were previously reported in an earlier quarter, subsequent quarters will load the out of state wages as zero.

  • A message is included in the Load Summary Report indicating: "The employee had out of state wages reported already for Q[X], [Year], hence marking out of state wages as Zero."

What's Unchanged:

  • Logic for identifying out of state wages

  • Logic for identifying the wage code

  • All other load logic

  • Electronic file creation
