Assignments

The employee assignments are required to report the data for the MD Basic Educational Data Survey. You must enter assignments for regular and pending employees.

Specify Baseline Assignment Information For Regular Employees

Regular employees do not have a Pending Status of Add Pending on the Employee Information page.

  1. On the start page, choose Human Resources.

  2. Select Entry & Processing, then choose Employee Information (under Employee).

  3. Specify the search criteria, then click Search.
    Alternatively, you can select Exclude Pending Employees, then click Search.

  4. Double-click the relevant employee record.

  5. Click Personnel Information and select Assignments.

  6. Click Add new.

  7. Refer to Field Descriptions and enter the required information.

  8. Click Accept.

You can add up to 4 assignments per employee.

Specify Baseline Assignment Information For Pending Employees

Pending employees have a Pending Status of Add Pending on the Employee Information page.

  1. On the start page, choose Human Resources.

  2. Select Entry & Processing, then choose Employee Information (under Employee).

  3. Specify the search criteria, then click Search.
    Alternatively, you can select Only List Pending Employees, then click Search.

  4. Double-click the relevant employee record.

  5. Click Assignments.

  6. Refer to Field Descriptions and enter the required information.

  7. Click Finish.

    You can add up to four assignments per employee. To add another assignment, click Next.

  8. Click Finish.

Title I Para

Indicates whether the staff person is Title I [serving in a school-wide (SW) Title I school or funded by Title I Targeted Assistance (TAS) program] and is a paraprofessional as defined by Title I, Part A.

Valid values:

  • I – Instructional

  • O- Other

  • N – Not a Title I

Title I Qual Para

Paraprofessionals are qualified if they meet one of the following requirements:

  1. Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education

  2. Obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree

  3. Met a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrated, through a formal State or local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or, as appropriate, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness).

TAS FTE

Four-digit full-time equivalent status (expressed to three decimal points) for staff funded by a Title I, Part A Targeted Assistance School (TAS) Program. For staff who work with TAS and school-wide (SW) programs, report only the FTE attributable to their TAS responsibilities.

Leave this field blank for staff who are not Title I.
