Pay Codes

Use the Pay Codes page to maintain the pay code record data.

  1. On the start page, select Human Resources.

  2. Select Reference Tables.

  3. From the Payroll menu, select Pay Codes.

  4. Enter the Search Criteria to find the required pay code records, and then select Search.
    Refer to Search for records for more information.

    • To add a record, select Add new. Refer to Field descriptions, enter valid information, and select Accept.

    • To edit a record, select the record and select Accept. Update the information and select Accept.

    • To delete, select Delete, and then Yes.

    • To generate a report, select Print, and then select a Destination:

      • Select File to create the report in .rpt format. In the File Name field, you can change the default file name.

      • Select Screen to download the report in .pdf format.

      • Select Excel to download the report in .xls format. Select the required Excel Options.

        • Select OK.

          • Download the .rpt file from the View Files page.

          • Save the .pdf or .xls file.

Description

Exclude from LA Quarterly Wage

Indicates whether to exclude the pay code from the LA Quarterly Wage report.

LA Quarterly Wage No Hours

Indicates whether to exclude the pay code from the LA Quarterly Wage report’s nominal hourly wage calculation.

PEP Pay Type

The state-defined pay type.

Valid values:

  • 1 - Base Pay

  • 2 - Extra Comp

  • 3 - Extended Pay

  • 4 - National Board Certified

  • 5 - PIP Salary

  • 6 - Non-PEP

For a list of valid values, refer to the following sections in the PEP User Guide:

  • Element Name: Salary Type Code

  • Element Name: PIP Salary Amount

PEP Salary Type

Indicates the PEP compensation type paid to employees who are assigned this pay code.

Valid values:

  • D - Demand Salary

  • P - Performance Salary
