Defined Page 1000 - Louisiana PEP Data

Before creating the Louisiana PEP report, enter valid information on the Louisiana PEP Data page.

Enter information for regular employees

On the Employee Information page, the Pending Status for a regular employee is blank.

  1. On the start page, select Human Resources.

  2. Select Entry & Processing, then from the Employee menu, select Employee Information.

  3. Enter the Search Criteria and select Search. Alternatively, you can select Exclude Pending Employees and then select Search.
    Refer to Search for records for more information.

  4. Select the relevant employee record and select Accept

  5. Select Personnel Information and then select Defined Windows.

  6. Select 1000 and then select Accept

  7. Refer to Field descriptions and enter valid information. 

  8. Select Accept.

Enter information for pending employees

Pending employees require additional information to complete the employee record. On the Employee Information page, the Pending Status on the record displays Add Pending.

  1. On the start page, select Human Resources.

  2. Select Entry & Processing, then from the Employee menu, select Employee Information.

  3. Enter the Search Criteria and select Search. Alternatively, you can select Only List Pending Employees and then select Search.
    Refer to Search for records for more information.

  4. Select the relevant employee record and select Accept

  5. Select Louisiana PEP Data

  6. Refer to Field descriptions and enter valid information.

  7. Select Finish.

  8. On the navigation bar, select Finish.

  9. Select OK.

Field descriptions

The following table describes the fields on the Louisiana PEP Data page:

Minutes/Day

The number of minutes the employee typically works per day.

This is an override field. If it is not populated, the default value is retrieved from the Default Workday Minutes field on the LA PEP Report - Setup page.

Cert Except.

The code representing the allowed exception in which a teacher may teach without possessing a Louisiana teaching certificate issued by the Office of Teacher Certification.

Sabbatical Cd

The Sabbatical type code indicating the sabbatical type taken.

For a list of valid values, refer to Element Name: Sabbatical Status Code in the PEP User Guide.

PEP Exempt?

Indicates whether the employee is exempt from PEP reporting.

Valid values:

  • Y

  • N

Annual Minutes

The number of yearly minutes worked.

This is an override field. If it is not populated, the system calculates the minutes.

Mentor Teacher

Indicates whether the employee serves as a mentor teacher.

Valid values:

  • Y

  • N

Content Leader

Indicates whether the employee is a content leader.

Valid values:

  • Y

  • N

Intervention

Indicates whether the employee is a content leader for intervention.

This field is no longer used.

Not applicable

Paraprof Qual

Indicates whether the employee is a qualified paraprofessional.

Valid values:

  • Y

  • N

Assoc Teacher

Indicates whether the employee is an associate teacher.

Valid values:

  • Y

  • N

Retire Code

The employee's Retirement plan code.

The valid values are defined in the User-defined table RC.

Retire Return

The employee's Retiree return code under which the retired employee returned to work.

The valid values are defined in the User-defined table RR.

Salary Reduct.

The employee's Salary reduction code representing the reason for the salary reduction.

For a list of valid values, refer to Element Name: Salary Reduction Code in the PEP User Guide.

Status Code

The employee's LEA status code.

The default is 01.

For a list of valid values, refer to Element Name: Employee Status Code in the PEP User Guide.

Tenure Status

The employee's Tenure status code.

For a list of valid values, refer to Element Name: Tenure, Status in the PEP User Guide.

Ten Add Date

The employee's Tenure add date.

The format is MMDDYYYY.

Not applicable

Ten Lost Date

The employee's Tenure loss date.

The format is MMDDYYYY.

Not applicable

Lost Reason

The employee's Tenure loss reason.
