Termination Codes
You must set up termination codes to report the Employment End Reason Code for terminated employees on the IL Employment Information System employment file.
Suppose your district has termination codes that do not represent a state-recognized end of employment but are instead what the state considers a leave of absence. In that case, enter 999 in the State Termination Code. The 999 code is not reported as an employment end reason code. It signifies that the employment has not ended.
Set Up Termination Codes
Before generating reports, ensure that you set up valid termination codes on the Termination Code Table page.
On the start page, select Menu > Human Resources > Reference Tables > Personnel > Termination Codes.
Specify the search criteria to find the required termination codes. Click Find.
To add a record, click Add New. Refer to Valid Termination Codes and specify valid information in the Required fields. Click OK.
To edit a record, double-click the relevant record.
To delete a record, click Delete. Click Yes.
The State Termination Code should match the Employment End Reason code as defined by ISBE.
