1099 Processing - Create 1099-NEC Electronic File
Use this option to create an electronic submission file for 1099-NEC records.
Refer to Generate 1099 Electronic File for more information.
Menu path
From the Fund Accounting menu, select Periodic Routines. From the Periodic Processing menu, select 1099 Processing.
Create the Electronic File
On the 1099 Processing page, select Generate 1099-NEC Electronic File.
Refer to the Field descriptions, enter or select information in the required fields, and then select Accept.
In the Print dialog, select OK to create the 1099-NEC Electronic File. The default file name is 1099tpen.txt. Download the file from the View Files page.
In the next Print dialog, select:
File to create the 1099-NEC Detail Report in .rpt format. The default file name is 1099dtln.rpt. Download the file from the View Files page.
Screen to download the report in .pdf format. The default file name is 1099dtln_<XXXXX>.pdf. Save the file.
In the next Print dialog, select:
File to create the 1099-NEC Summary Report in .rpt format. The default file name is 1099sumn.rpt. Download the file from the View Files page.
Screen to download the report in .pdf format. The default file name is 1099sumn_<XXXXX>.pdf. Save the file.
Select OK.

The following table describes the fields on the 1099 Processing - Generate 1099-NEC Electronic File page.

Tax Year | The tax year for which the 1099-NEC is being generated. This field is view-only and cannot be updated. | The value is retrieved from the Tax Year field on the 1099 Setup page. |
Payer Name | The name of the entity paying the non-employee compensation. | The value is retrieved from the Payer Name field on the 1099 Setup page. This field value overrides the Payer Name field value on the 1099 Setup page. |
Payer Street | The street address of the payer. | The value is retrieved from the Payer Address field on the 1099 Setup page. This field value overrides the Payer Address field value on the 1099 Setup page. |
Payer City | The city of the payer. | The value is retrieved from the Payer City field on the 1099 Setup page. This field value overrides the Payer City field value on the 1099 Setup page. |
Payer State | The two-character postal code for the payer's state. | The valid value is PA. The value is retrieved from the State field on the 1099 Setup page. This field value overrides the State field value on the 1099 Setup page. |
Zip Code | The payer's zip code. | The value is retrieved from the Zip Code field on the 1099 Setup page. This field value overrides the Zip Code field value on the 1099 Setup page. |

Federal/State Filer | Indicates participation in the federal/state filing program. Prior Year File | Indicates whether to report a 'P' in the prior year data indicator position of the transmitter record. If you are filing for a prior year, select this option. Vendor Number | The vendor number from which to restart processing. This field is displayed after any of the following is selected in the File Indicator field and Accept is selected:
