VALIC Retirement Report Setup
Before generating the VALIC Retirement Report, ensure that valid information is entered in the following fields on the South Carolina State Retirement page:
VALIC Status
Status Date
When you create the electronic file for the VALIC Retirement Report, the information is populated for the participants enrolled in the PEBA State Optional Retirement Program (ORP) program using AIG (VALIC) as their designated carrier.
South Carolina State Retirement Page - Employee Information
On the application start page, select Menu > Human Resources > Entry & Processing > Employee Information (under Employee).
Specify the search criteria and click Find.
OR
Leave all Search Criteria fields blank, and select Include Terminated Employees and Exclude Pending Employees. Click Find.
A list of regular employees matching the search criteria appears.Double-click the relevant employee record.
On the navigation bar, click Personnel Information, and select Defined Windows.
Double-click 32001 - South Carolina State Retirement.
The following table describes the fields on the South Carolina State Retirement - <First Name Last Name (Employee number)> page.
Field Description Required / Optional Source Data / Override VALIC Status Valid VALIC status values:
R - Retired
T - Terminated
X - Deceased
A - Rehire
E - Eligible
Leave the field blank to indicate a status of Active.Optional Not required Status Date Date of status code change. Required for the following VALIC statuses:
R - Retired
T - Terminated
X - Deceased
A - Rehire
E - Eligible
If an employee has a Status Code of E (Eligible) or A (Rehire), the VALIC Status field is updated to blank (Active) after the data is loaded.Optional Required only if the VALIC Status field is populated. Enter valid information, and on the navigation bar, click OK.
The next step is to create the VALIC Retirement Report.
