EFIN-49265OH - Calendar YTD Report Enhanced with Local Tax information

Customers in Ohio have requested that standard payroll reports be enhanced with their Local Tax information. In this release, we have modified the Calendar YTD report in Human Resources > Reports > Periodic as follows:

  • For each employee, we are showing a total local tax deducted
  • At the end of the report, we have included a total of the subject wages and amounts deducted for each local tax.

This is for Version 20.11

EFIN-54559OH Upgrade to 20.11 - Remove FICA/Medicare Split

In previous versions, Ohio had a custom FICA/Medicare split set up to change the charging for Classified and Certified staff FICA and Medicare. In version 20.11, the baseline option Human Resources > Reference Tables > Payroll > Benefit Charge Override should now be used to do this split. To prevent errors, the upgrade program will remove the information from the custom Ohio table and output the information to the $FASLOGDIR in file eoh_detail_DATABASENAME.log.

Customers will need to review this file and enter the appropriate information in the Benefit Charge Override. The Human Resources manual documents the entry of this information.

This is for Version 20.11

EFIN-58879OH W2C Electronic File updated

Modified the W2C Electronic file to include Ohio records correctly when choosing the “Include RS Records” and entering OH in the Additional Options for Human Resources > Periodic Routines > Year End > W2C Processing.

This is for Version 19.4 and 20.11

EFIN-59551OH EMIS Security

For the EMIS package in Ohio, we had Security set up to require access to Human Resources reports in order to be able to do EMIS functions. We have modified the software to include the correct resources to allow users to have access JUST to EMIS, and not necessitate access to other areas of the software.

The resources that are already available are:

  • 3000 - PEI USER FOR EMIS
  • 3001 - SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR FOR EMIS
  • 3002 - SUPERVISOR FOR EMIS
  • 3003 - MAY LOAD STAFF DATA
  • 3004 - MAY LOAD FINANCE DATA
  • 3005 - MAY MAINTAIN STAFF DATA
  • 3006 - MAY MAINTAIN FINANCE DATA
  • 3007 - MAY EXPORT DATA
  • 3008 - MAY UPDATE EMIS SYSTEM MANAGEMENT TABLES
EFIN-63366OH Remove Prior Local Tax option

In the core software, there is a provision for prior local tax information, which is used by states with single local taxes, to track what the previous local taxes were during the year. In Ohio, we support multiple local taxes in one place. If a local tax is not to be taken, Ohio customers should make it inactive. If someone moves to another state, the prior tax information for the state should be maintained in the core option, and the local tax information marked inactive for the year.

You can not delete local tax records if there is any to date information for that tax.

This is for Version 20.11

EFIN-65289OH EMIS LOAD- Fixed to remove duplicate expenditures

Fixed the OH EMIS Data Load to remove duplicate expenditure reporting.

This is for Version 20.11
