Report Specific Set-up
Human Resources Profile - State Window
The user must do the following setup before creating and Staff Tenure submission file or generating a hard copy report:
Human Resources Profile – State Window. Menu Path: System Administration Profiles → Human Resources Profile → State Window.
Field Descriptions
SIRS District Code: The 8 character code assigned to your district by SIRS.
Tenure Area User Defined Table: A user defined table must be set up mapping the employees' department code to a valid state tenure area
Attendance User Defined Table: A user defined table must be set up mapping leave bank codes to a valid state attendance code.
User Defined Table for Base Salary Job Classes: A user defined table may optionally be set up to list secondary job classes which should be included in the base salary reported in the SIRS Staff Snapshot.
Employee Information – Personnel Tab – Staff State ID must be populated with the SIRS Teacher ID. Menu path: Human Resources → Entry and Processing → Employee → Employee Information.
Tenure Area Codes – A user defined table must be set up mapping the employees' department code to a valid state tenure area.
Tenure Area Codes Crosswalk
To set up the user defined table, select a 2 character code that is not already being used. To access the user defined reference table follow menu path: Human Resources → Reference Tables → Personnel → User Defined Codes. Enter the code which you have selected to use for Tenure Area.
Table Code: The 2 character code you have selected to define tenure area codes.
Code: Department from Employee Information - Employment tab. There should be one record with "0000" as the code to describe the type of codes that are being defined.
Title: The state defined tenure area that is being assigned to the department. The title for code "0000" should be "SIRS TENURE AREA CODES". Tenure area codes are 3 characters. Only the first 3 characters of Title will be used. If desired the rest of the field can be used as description

Code: The first position of the leave bank. There should be one record with "0000" as the code to describe the type of codes that are being defined.
Title: The state defined attendance code that is being assigned to the leave type. The title for code "0000" should be "SIRS ATTENDANCE CODES". Attendance codes are 1 character. Only the first character of Title will be used. If desired the rest of the field can be used as description

Base Salary Job Classes
To set up the user defined table, select a 2 character code that is not already being used. To access the user defined reference table follow menu path: Human Resources → Reference Tables → Personnel → User Defined Codes. Enter the code which you have selected to use for Base Salary Job Classes.
Table Code: The 2 character code you have selected to define base salary job classes.
Code: Secondary job class which is to be included in base salary for SIRS Staff reporting. There should be one record with "0000" as the code to describe the type of codes that are being defined.
Title: An optional description. The title for code "0000" should be "BASE SALARY JOB CLASSES".
