New Field on NY Employee Assignment Page

New York Only - A new field labeled Assignment Field has been added on the Assignments page (Menu Path: Select Human Resources, Entry & Processing, Employee Information, Personnel Information, then select Assignments). The field label matches the field from the New York SIRS documentation. The field is a dropdown populated using the Table Code AF (Menu Path: From the Human Resources menu, select Reference Tables. From the Personnel menu, select User Defined Codes.). The AF Table Codes are pre-populated for the existing state codes. The districts will maintain any changes made by the state of New York for these codes through this table.

Updated Assignment Window and NY SIRS Staff Assignment Report for 2023-24 Reporting Requirements

Beginning in 2023-24, two new fields must be reported for select staff in the NY SIRS Staff Assignment Report. The Assignment Field identifies the type of assignment the staff person has. Percent Time Assigned is the percentage of time the person is assigned such responsibilities in a particular location. The data is reported from the Assignments page (Menu Path: Select Human Resources, Entry & Processing, Employee Information, Personnel Information, then select Assignments). The Percent field on the employee’s assignment window is reported as the Percent Time Assigned. The Percent field accepts values of 0 through 1 and is multiplied by 100 for reporting the values from 0% to 100%. The NY SIRS Staff Assignment report, Excel, and electronic file are now updated to include these fields.
