MI MEIS REP - Substitute Maintenance Enhancements

  1. Provided two tabs on the MEIS Information form of the MI MEIS REP (Registry of Educational Personnel) - Substitutes, Student Teachers and Non-Instructional page:

    • General Information

    • Additional Assignments

  2. The General Information tab will have the same existing fields. The primary assignment (with the highest FTE) continues to load in the School, Position, and FTE fields.

    1. Additional change: Dynamic UI validation for Employee and Vendor fields as Required in the UI - Provided required validation in API.

    2. Employee and Vendor fields will appear as non-required by default while adding Substitute records.

    3. The Required badge will toggle dynamically according to the data entered in the Employee or Vendor fields.

  3. The Additional Assignment tab contains assignments other than the primary one with the highest FTE. Users can add, update, and delete records.

    1. Validations:

      1. School and Position are mandatory (Auto filled with the first record in the respective dropdowns)

      2. FTE can be set to empty (null)

      3. FTE should be less than or equal to 1.00 (if provided)

      4. Total FTE, including primary (on the General Information tab), should be less than or equal to 2.00

      5. Duplicate assignment validation is applicable on Add Record / Update Record - including primary (on the General Information tab)

      6. Duplicate validation based on the same School and Position

    2. Additional assignment cards and add/update forms will have three fields - School, Position, and FTE.

    3. “Add New Assignment” will be disabled on:

      1. Add a new record for Subs employee/Vendor.

      2. Additional assignments won’t be loaded automatically through the “Add Record” option. Instead, they have to be added manually.

      3. Vendor updates (because Vendors won’t have multiple assignments, but only one on the Vendor Defined Window 500 page in the Vendor list in the core application)

MI MEIS REP - Load Substitutes From HR | Load additional assignments for substitutes

On the MI MEIS REP report > Substitutes, Student Teachers and Non-Instructional > Load From Human Resources > MI MEIS REP (Registry of Educational Personnel) - Substitutes, Student Teachers and Non-Instructional - Load from Human Resources page, a checkbox named Load Additional Assignments has been added.

This is an optional checkbox. If checked, all assignments, in addition to the primary assignments, can be loaded. Previously, only primary assignments were loaded for substitutes.

If unchecked, the load logic continues to function as before, loading only the primary assignment of substitute employees.

The MI MEIS REP Substitute - Hard copy and Electronic file reports are enhanced with additional assignments reporting for substitutes.

The MI MEIS REP Substitute - Monthly Reporting is enhanced to include changes in additional assignments for substitute employees in the Assignment change report.
