MD MSDE Entities Report - File Layout and Data Mapping
The following table lists the field number, field name, description, and data type of the data for the MD MSDE Entities report.
The default file name is ENTITIES_XX.tsv, where XX is the two-digit LEA number.

1 | LOCAL_ENTITY_KEY | The School code. The value is retrieved from the School Code field on the Entity Information form of the MD MSDE Entities Report page. | VarChar(100) |
2 | SCHOOL_YEAR | The related school year. The value is retrieved from the School Year field on the Entity Information form of the MD MSDE Entities Report page. | VarChar(10) |
3 | DISTRICT_CODE | The district code where the school is located. The value is retrieved from the District Code field on the Entity Information form of the MD MSDE Entities Report page. | VarChar(20) |
4 | NCES_ID | The 12-digit National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) ID. The NCES ID only applies to instructional facilities and is not typically associated with Summer schools. The NCES ID is a 12-digit smart number with the first two digits denoting the state, the following five digits denoting the district, and the final five digits denoting the school. The value is retrieved from the NCES ID field on the Entity Information form of the MD MSDE Entities Report page. | VarChar(20) |

6 | ENTITY_STATUS | The status of the school. Valid values:

7 | SPED_LEA_ROLLUP_IND | Indicates that the SPED calculations are rolled up to the LEA level rather than the school level. It is required only for the LEA record. Valid values:
The value is retrieved from the SPED LEA Rollup Indicator field on the Entity Information form of the MD MSDE Entities Report page. If you leave the SPED LEA Rollup Indicator field blank, it defaults to No in the ENTITIES_XX.tsv file. | VarChar(4) |
